Re: kwp 2000 read/write on a honda bike ecu.
i've had some success with thinners too. a '90s subaru and a vt donated connectors to make an obd2 adaptor lead. there's a wire which needs to be grounded to put it into diagnostic mode. i can hopefully incorporate all that so i can just plug in and communicate. who is selling the software?

Re: kwp 2000 read/write on a honda bike ecu.
I've googled the shit out of it, and it seems honda uses slightly different messages? In their data stream. It's supposed to be iso9141? But different enough it won't work with common tools. Mob of pricks. As for a lack of talent, you're in good company. Lol.

is the potting on your ecu hard? like an epoxy sort of deal? mine looks like it's been sealed up with silicon, or polyurethane. something rubbery anyway.

Re: kwp 2000 read/write on a honda bike ecu.
ok. what do you mean about the usual method destroying the ecu? what sort of ebay cable and/or software are we talking here? i've bought a spare ecu, when it comes i'll open the case and see if i can see what the processor is.

Re: kwp 2000 read/write on a honda bike ecu.
yes. i've also found the people on here to be both knowledgeable and helpful. i'd like to eventually pull the bin out of this computer and find the relevant parts to tune it. i've got a hex editor among other things. brace for a veritable barrage of questions once that happens. lol. anyway, here's a...

Re: kwp 2000 read/write on a honda bike ecu.
i have an after market efi setup on my honda c90 (lifan 140cc engine) it was made by Ecotrons in the US it is full adjustable and closed loop both spark and fuel. if you have too much trouble finding a tuning solution for the oem ecu perhaps try 1 of their ecu setups http://www.ecotrons.com/product...
