Re: 98 vt srs light
OK, no luck, command appears to just reset theinstrument cluster, ie. resets trip computer and possibly any DTC's in the instrument cluster. As soon the instruments gets the signal from the SDM to put the airbag light on through the BCM its straight back on, ie a few seconds after it disappear...

Re: 98 vt srs light
I checked both terminals for the pretensioner, both were connected, sos disconnected and reconnected several times as sometimes a small amount of corrosions can build up on the terminals which pushes the resistance outside the tolerances. This typically happens after somebody has had vehicle steam c...

Re: 98 vt srs light
Sorry Antus, was editing my original post above with some updated info when yours came through. It looks like it is working with the changes listed above, but must still be something wrong with my car, light has been on since I got it, but somebody had removed the bulb and it wasn't picked during th...

Re: 98 vt srs light
Just tried it on my VT, the command is crashing Tunerpro RT. I changed the values in Payload and and payload offset from 0 & 0 to 55 & 5 and unticked Master and Monitor, it know seems to work. I guess the zeroes are causing some issue in tunepro, once told to listen for a reply it seems to b...

Re: OSE $12P Teaser
I agree entirely, can make a car feel quite weird at times, the revs can hang on a gear change, etc. All in the name of improving emissions. Is also used a lot to limit torque to prevent damage to other drivetrain components, and get a nice flat torque curve.I know OE has gone from 1 or 2 Engineers ...

Re: OSE $12P Teaser
The wonders of modern electronics. The Alloytec uses an electronic throttle body (drive by wire) and has no cable. Once the engine sees it is at the redline it just closes the throttlebody to a point to keep it their. The accelerator pedal position and TPS can be different, and the accelerator is ba...

Re: 98 vt srs light
Last time I looked at the wiring diagram, I think it uses Pin 1 on the ALDL connector (Also used for BCM, Instruments and ABS), EfiLive doesn't use this pin as the engine ECU uses a different (PIN 9 I think on a VT anyway). The Module for SRS this that stores the code is the one under the centre con...

Re: 98 vt srs light
I think your out of luck. It happens quite a lot, they get disconnected to fit a radio, etc, then the vehicle is powered up to check the radio without reconnecting. Once it has been logged as a fault it can be cleared by Holden, or some garages have generic Tech2 type device that can also clear them...

Re: Who would want wideband integration
Hopefully the attachments below will help make sense (google images is great too search with). As you can see a narrowband is typically only accurate around 14.7 +/- 0.5, where as a wideband is linear between ~10-20. With a wideband, a stoich of say 12 is very accurate, with narrowband it is bit of ...

I think the following site may help.
