Re: ECM - Corsa A-1987 - C13N engine - with Catalyst
Looking at this it shows the Opel 10 pin connector. https://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/aldl8192/8192hw.htm#connectors Also some info here https://web.archive.org/web/20041209084800/http://www.lotus-carlton.fsnet.co.uk/CELFLASH.htm If the connector is the same, yours shows the 8192 baud pin as not p...

Re: VZ BCM output options
The same part was used on Sedans, Utes, Wagons, Crewman and 1 tonner. Assume yours will be a MID level as I think it had powered windows. Just need to program a key fob and add the wire to the BCM if it's not already there and it all should work. If you have LOW level BCM I don't think it has the bo...

Re: Custer Dump Checksum
I've only had a quick look, but it looks like an 8 bit checksum stored at either $0D4 or $0D5 as already stated. I checked several 1kb bins and if add $0D4 and $0D5 together you get FF in all that I checked. I've seen this done before so whatever the checksum these 2 always add to FF so the checksum...

Re: 11p transmission 4l60e holding gears
If you’re having problems with shift speeds first thing to do is get a good log. Standard parameters should work fine, if not and holding gears to long I would suspect a TPS fault. TPS is used for shift speeds vs throttle position, more importantly is also used fo4 line pressure. If it’s not reading...

Re: VE Compensator
I believe it was used to allow the race teams to adjust fuelling on the fly for better power or economy. There is also mention of it in this thread. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=119 EDIT: GEN:OPT:EOPTB[bpw trim] This option enables variation of the output fuel pulse by a cal...

27c128 is only 16K memory, need a 27C256 which is 32K or stack files for a 27C512 which is 64K.

Re: V6 LEO to LY7 conversion VE Commodore
I’ve seen an LY7 running a 4 speed auto without a problem in a VZ, not sure how different the VE will be.
From memory biggest issue was using HPTuners as it wasn’t happy with mismatched engine/trans so had to bench flash the calibration to ECU only.

Re: What does MGC refer to in tuning please?
Yes, pretty much.
As it’s actual air into the cylinder it’s not 100% correlated to manifold vacuum.
Theoretically Peak torque is produced when mgc is at its maximum and peak power when grams/second is at its maximum.

Milligrams per cylinder of air.
