It wont actually be running a computer, this will only be until I get a weekend off to put the manifold on and get the thing tuned. I felt it would be OK but wasn't sure if I was missing something obvious.
Cheers

Re: Electronic Ignition
Not sure if this is the right thread but I have a question about a partial EFI conversion If I was to connect a delco to an engine and didnt have time to modify the dizzy. Could I use a camira module as a "dumb" ign module? Here is my plan connect the module as per usual, but disconnect th...

Re: 98 vt srs light
This is in response to yoda's post about sniffing the tech 2 info packets. I have a dirty old dos program which sniffs 8192 baud data with the use of a max 232 converter. You will need a pc with a serial port that runs on 98 or something older. Or you could check beyond logics "interfacing the ...

Re: Electronics Australia DELCO articles
Hope this isnt getting too far off topic, I have seen a few of the v8 modules that have gone. The main transistor in the middle was the problem. It is a proprietry bosch transistor which cant be replaced with an off the shelf alternative (Or at least nothing we tried! ). We did end up with sm...

Which disassembler?
Which disassembler are you guys using?
I have been using the dewtronics disassembler and it has worked well for me, but I have run into problems with some later bins which have addresses bigger than 16 bits.
What are you guys using for these bins?

ALDL interface circuit
Here is a link to an interface for the RS232, I have used this circuit with and without the regelator. Just need to use the +5V from the ECM. Just make sure you use electrolytic caps. Hope this doesnt make it too easy an exercise for anyone to make a hi speed comms ECM  http://www.techedge....

Re: Surge tanks (swirl pots)
I have welded to some baffels internally in my tank. I use the return fuel as a ejector type pump to fill the swirl pot. When you steam a tank you need to get it bloody hot! A car exhaust wont even get it close. I have welded numerous tanks, but still get a bit edgy. I like to pump a bit of argoshie...
