The first byte of the standard ALDL is the device ID. You need to be able to sniff the line and find what the ECU and BCM have as device ID's. Tipping the ECU will be $F4.
Perhaps a mode 10 with the correct device ID might do the trick.

Re: VY PCM - 16269238
I WANT ONE!
I reckon this should be where we focus our efforts. Is it still using a 6811 based code or is it 16 bit?
It will be a far more powerful ECU.

Awesome, good to see you are just about done. Time for the fun part now. Hope it all goes well.

The "Old girl" will be staying carbed, the certification for using injection is just demented. It has a 225 Hp 6 cylinder air cooled engine and cruises at about 250/260Kmh. It will be painted white with a blue "Arrow" down the side which is similar to original. Polished alloy loo...

My Brother and I lashed out and got hold of a 1956 vintage Aircraft. It may not be of interest to you guys but here it is. Re: would a delco run this engine?
Where would you mount the DELCO? Top or bottom? Ofcourse you would need a bloody good timing light to see the marks from the top! (Yeah, Yeah I know it's a diesel but you know what I mean)

Re: engine simulator
I have the jimstim and it works well. They are a cheap reliable way to make a good test bench.
The logic analyser I have is great for fumbling your way through the code too!

WHAT IS THAT ABOMINATION! It looks like a "CARBURETOR". If you get rid of it that would be a good start!
Just joking. LOL. You should at least get plenty of cold air.
