I sent this through using TunerPro 5 usin the ADX.
VT Airbag Reset.adx

I think this is basically what i had in it to work, is on my laptop and just as easy to do it again.
Listend for silence for 25ms, then send the command.

Can also try the v125 flashtool .. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=82

It has a new function that you can compose frames and send it (and also listen to chatter). It uses the user prefs for echo, com port listen for silence etc. Makes it easy if you want to just send a single command.

Hey awesome little program there

well doesn't appear to work on vs

when i send
F2,56,0A
it sends and recieves
F2, 56, A, AE,

when i send
F2,56,0A,A6
it sends and recieves
F2, 56, A, AE,

i tested it with normal codes like clearing ecu fault codes and it works fine.

It automatically does the checksum for you so both frames you sent would have been the same (the 56 meant the A6 would not have been sent), will have an option to not auto calc the checksum in the next release so you can send any frame you want.

Are you certain the fault is not current and you are clearing the code but its returning?

yoda69 - it was a new feature I only wrote last night, read this thread and thought it would be handy to release now. Was a little slow and could have saved you some work.

yep i had a scantool from a mate and cleared mine last week, has been cleared all week

i just then disconnected the yellow plug under and column and turned the ignition on to set a code, then reconnected, then i turned it all on again with the code logged and tried to clear it. The light is solid not going off and back on again when i send the command.

Sorry im not real technical with aldl commands, ive only really ever played with efilive, havn't done any tuning etc.

im just wondering if i ran a clip from the data pin on the scantool to the data pin on my connector and ran your program listing to chatter and sent a command from the scantool assuming you can without it being connected to the car would it pick it up?

If you can get the scan tool again, have both the flashtool hooked up and the scan tool. Have the flashtool listen for chatter and try and capture the reset command from the scan tool.

EDIT: Yep :D
