Thought I would share some photos of my Ford and Holden killers
They are my little Belletts big brothers.

Orange one is a factory 'six-pack' 1971 Charger 770.The six-pack cars were all triple Weber 265 Hemi's.
Normally an RT Charger engine option, this is one of 100 of the 'luxury ' 770 models built. I bought it 6 years ago from the Dubbo area where it sat in a shed since 1981! (due to a holed piston).Motor now rebuilt back to factory stock ( and a bigger cam :) )
Colour is called ' Vitamin C'. Has the original 'hens teeth' Bathurst 3 speed box (Good for 95 mph in 2nd gear ,though I haven't tried that out yet),original extractors, dealer fitted LSD,and factory dual exhausts.

Sherwood Green one a 1973 VJ Charger XL. Was a roughy (still has the paint to prove it !) 265 Hemi ,column auto 6 seater when I got it about 4 years ago .
Now a hot 265, 'six-pack' Weber setup, engineered as a 2 seater, roll cage and race seats.
Has a Borg Warner 4 speed box, LSD, big exhaust, many suspension mods and has been lightened by more than 100 kg.
Handles like a go cart ,and goes like the clappers,( but needs a bit more grunt ! ) Its got 200 HP at the wheels.
Plans were to race it in supersprints, but haven't got around to it yet .... :(
Oran Park closing sort of put a damper on that :(

I have another Charger and a Pacer stored, will post them up another day........
Cheers !
Rod.

Thanks for showing us these beauties Rod, they're real nice. I'm looking forward to checking them in the metal, if that's OK.

My family has had a few Vals over time. Dad bought a Ranger XL new in 1971, before the Chargers were released. Try as I might, I couldn't talk him into trading it on one. I collected a scrapbook of every brochure & advertisement pic I could find.(I think brother Greg still has it.) Dad traded our '66 1/2 column change on the Ranger. Then Greg bought the Bellett, so it stayed in the family. ;)
I had a '71 Phoenix for a while, then a '68 440 Monaco - very Valiant, just bigger & louder!

Cheers mate,
Matt.

I have a mate in Canberra with a 770 Charger (I believe it’s among the first 20 built) that he is doing a very serious resto on. By serious I mean everything stripped out and cutting out rust and welding in steel in the basic structure. When finished it will be Vitamin C. He already has a matching Chrysler Hunter 660 (he points out to me that it hasn’t got the word ‘Hillman’ on it anywhere). Here's the Hunter at a Chrysler day in Sydney
