And...... There were other cars there. Lots of 'em. Allsorts. First time I have seen 2 Leyland Force 7Vs in one place! But the highlight? Scott brought the Dodge I sold him in 2007, all restored and beautiful. And I got a ride round the track in it. 30 years since I had it on the road. How good is that?? Attachment:

You are a man of impeccable taste when it comes to your choices in automobiles Matty (past and present) Thanks mate! And other mates. I know cars from the states are all austentation and huge donks, but thee is appeal there. I bought the Dodge (a 68 Monaco, factory RHD built in Windsor Canada) in 1982. We were right into bushwalking and used to load up with mates and gear and head up the blue mountains, down the snowys and etc. Many fun times in this car; I remember a bucks night with 6 of us in there, criusing into the city. There was a GTHO owner and his girl found wanting, while the mates hung out the windows mock whipping the flanks. I suppose he only had a 351, and the Dodge is a 440. So I got a double lap of Eastern Creek with Scott and his 27 year old son. Chris was 9 the last time I drove that car. A highlight of a great day. Cheers, Matt.

AND if the above are not enough reasons why you need to get out and mix it, then how about this - A nece fella named Col comes up and asks who ownes the Florian. "That would be me," I say. "I've got a few lights at home for one, and no car to put them on," he says. "I can help with that!" So I called in on the way home and, viola! Attachment:

That's how it happens more often than not. The more they are seen out and about the more likely those who know the where abouts of others or have parts for them will spot them and come forward. I've scored a lot of bits that way
Well done Matty You deserve it

You guys are right, find stuff, buy stuff. If I don't, I might wish I had, or someone else might. Bonus: I got the lights, then Col pulls out a Gemini head and asks, "Got any use for this?" I dont have a Gemini (Its probably just a matter of time...) but 20 bucks for a surface ground non corroded completer head? Had to get it. Get 'em out and talk to the audience. Its fun and it pays! Cheers, Matt.
