   | Just out of interest, are all the tail lights on later model Belletts (strip lights) the same or did they vary on different models? ie sedans to GT's. I ask this because every photo I see of a Bellett with strip tail lights they all seem to be segmented. Indicator, brake and reverse lense seperate.....except my 69 sedan which is one single lense. Is this just a difference due to being a former South Africa car or are other sedans the same as mine? Will post a photo when I get a chance to show what I mean. Geoff_________________

   | GT and sedans in that model are different.
GT's had 3 separate blocks for lenses, and the sedan was a single lense (actually, it's 3 separate pieces glued together, but it appears as 1 lenses when fitted.

while the 2 different types are interchangable between the cars, as the tailight hole in the body is exactly the same in GT's and sedans, the entire light assemblys themselves are different, including the metal frame itself.

also, as the GT ones were always the rarest of the 2, some GT's had sedan lights fitted due to damaged lights over the years, and a pair of sedan units were often substitued instead.

 hope the helps.

   | Cheers mate that makes sence to me.Just haven't noticed any others like mine.
Mind you, most of the photos I've seen of the strip lights have all been GT's.

There in lies the problem I guess.

 Thanks again

   | Dude I was so high on Bellett fumes at Coona you could have put XP Falcon tail lights on the convertable and I proberbly wouldn't have pick it as odd. (No offence to anyone in Bellett land)
I was so distracted by EVERY car that I didn't notice every car.
The most belletts I had ever seen in my life before Coona were the previous 3 I have owned.

If only I knew then what I know now........ They really do exist elsewhere!
