I successfully proved as a 19yo that an 1800cc Gemini van with 205s on the front and 155 burnout stockies on the back cannot outrun a VS Commodore police car.

We must have all been-there-done-that. I proved that my father's bog standard Morris 1100 was no match for an unmarked Police Special Mini Cooper S. Lucky for me he put the siren on before it got too serious, I only copped a fine.

I had 6 months loss of licence and a broken rear axle to prove it.

The ratter would have no hope. It has 155's all 'round.

Perhaps a car with 205s all 'round would be OK. It's all in the tyre choices, you see....[/quote]

360 V8 Chrysler by Chrysler can out run a Police car !!! It doesn't work if they know where you work though !!! Only a fine, because they couldn't register my speed !!!!
Young and foolish :- definitely

Oh and it had 275's on the back and 245's on the front, so i guess it wasnt the engine it was the tyres

We had a guy that worked for us that had Motorcycle FJ12 Yamaha, the local copper arrived one day with his Pajero 4x4 and old mate said to the copper, with a smirk on his face, Bet you can't catch me with that, and the copper went to back seat of the and pull out a rifle and said I could with this

That is so funny - it would only be able to chase "other" Marina's on the road - it would not be able to keep up with anything else ;)

Is that a for sale sign on the windscreen? Even the Cops trying to get rid of it. :D

I imagine that someone in a half-sorted Escort would have been able to out-run constable Marina; looks like they didn't even get the TC sporty version! My Gemini (Bedford Chevanne to you, PomBellett) would have had a real chance!

Notice it's got a really BIG siren, so you can hear it from a l-o-n-g way ahead!
