Hey guys and girls i do trawl and search the net very often for Bellett's, but i also still miss some cars from time to time. still would like to find a reasonably tidy Fastback in Japan and bring it back home. Ever since i saw my first photo of one, i fell head over heals in love with it. i know it may mean some real selling out of my others cars, but i think it will be worth it. so, can i ask if anyone comes across one in their internet travels, could you pls post it or PM me with the details. i came very close to bringing back that last original one but the lack of papers just made it a little too much invested for what i was getting. thanks in advance for all the help i and many others get here on the Forum. cheers OZ |

there has been a white one on Import Monster from time to time. (same one) http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=http://page17.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/v258438926&thumb=http://auctions.c.yimg.jp/f09batchimg.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/users/2/3/0/6/kurumaerabi_store-thumb-1348145440105562.jpg&title=42%201600GT%20com asking about $20k + i think. And its a 1600cc OHV, possibly the only engine they had ? Import Monster says its about $32,000 landed. By the time you got it here, it would be a lot of money and need work on it for sure. That one for example has painted bumpers and who knows what else 'mods'. glenn

That would be ideal, but I've seen several for sale over the last few years and $20k seems to be the bottom dollar, highest being ~$35k. Still, you never know, the internet is a big place...slowly catchy monkey. |

have a talk to Jason and see if his 'spotters' can find one perhaps. Import monster have a calculator for costs which is not too far off the mark although their compliance is way too much. Maybe make the seller an offer ?. |

there were a few up about 12-18 months ago. think they ranged from 17K to 22K. the one i decided against as there were no papers was going to cost me approx 13K landed! in hindsight maybe that was something i should have taken on regardless of the paperwork issue but there are a few that are not selling due to price i would imagine, the GT-R being more sought after by most of the Japanese collectors. patience, patience and some more patience. and then haggle the crap out of the price. Dave got his down at least 3-4K. cheers OZ |
