Here's some pics of it, for posterity. "Handles like a cat on carpet!" Hahahaha as long as it doesn't handle like my dog on floorboards... (too much oversteer) Attachment:

Niiiice !! Thanks for digging up the pics Dave. That "orange" is no "lemon" by the sounds of things. If things weren't tough, I'd have to splurge for an early chrissie present. Whats with the numero 320, and the hellish nut crack'n rear camber ??

I knew Paul, he was a genius with brakes. You will find that this Bellett will have a terrific brake set-up. That was his specialty. He was a very sad loss to the BCCV. He really kept Belletts up there in WA. He did some work on the Galnt setup that did not require any stub machining. He actually sent me the sleeves to do the job. I still have them in my workshop. And that is where they will stay.

Hiya Dave, Geoff here mate, the fella who bought the '65 green machine off you. Just thought you'd like to know that the little green scrubba is on the go! I had a good friend pull the master and slave cylinders out for me (I didn't have the time) and send them off to another close friend (Glen Hunt) to have them stainless sleeved and rejuvinated to better than new. It pulls up like a new car now. Almost on a dime! It is also in line for a new heartbeat in the new year by way of a Volvo 264 V6 5spd. The little '66 Orange rocketship you've posted the pics of is the toy of a fella by the name of Rob in Duncraig WA. I believe he is the son of Bill Buys, the guy advertising it on Ebay. Bill had the '69 Blue Classic racer for sale on Ebay a couple of months ago which I'm extreeeeeeeemly proud to say I'm the new owner of. Thanks to the incredible patience of Bill, a true gentleman who loves that car. I'll have it over here in about three weeks. I'll have to come and pay you a visit once it's here. I'm in Tassie for the next couple of weeks and have been given the heads up on a supposed '65 Bellett Express. I'm yet to see it to believe it but if so I'll be sacrificing a limb for it. Regards Geoff "Stickman" Taylor

P.S. The number 320 is in relation to the guy who built the car. Sadly he is no longer with us. His race number was 32 and this was the last car he built but never raced. Hence the 0 added to the end of the 32..........32/0 built by a legend but never raced by him.

That's an amazing history on the "orange" machine. Thanks for the insight. It makes her even more desirable. Looking forward to seeing the hot 'bluie' when you get down here. What a score B.

That blue beast was awesome, especially as it was a 1969 non-deluxe! Which is a weird anomaly as all the '69s here were either Deluxes or autos.
Also, if you buy a Bellett Express... and I get to see it... I'll be like a teenaged girl at a Beatles concert. All screamy and cry-ee.
Cheers!
Dave

Nope! it wasn't me who bought the orange rocket ship. I'm currently backpacking through Tassie and as soon as I get home I'm looking into the Express I've been told about. A mate of mine thinks it may be bit of a unicron though. He says if its the car he knows of it is infact an early Toyota Corona wagon. I am trying to track down an Express I saw in Townsville about 12yr ago though. I'll keep ya posted as to how that one goes. Stickman

The orange Bellett was bought by someone in Tasmania so Bill informs me. No doubt he/she will have some fun. Stickman
