WOW...up for sale on Gumtree is a classic piece of Bellett porn in Adelaide!!
One very nice 67 GT, I gather it's not cheap but well worth a look
as it's listed as being Very original, excellent condition, Genuine 40,000 miles, 2 owners,

Also selling the Wasp65 blue full length body Ute.
She is quite a bit more tired but pretty original and complete ready to drive home.
If 24K is correct, that will be a record price. Reckon it could be one of the best original (unrestored) in AUS.

I wish it was one for me Matt. :(

I've driven up and had a look good, it is a very nice little car, but I simply can't afford it.

So, back to the shed to play with my rusty bits. Sigh.

Duane

PS: Didn't get a look at the Wasp, can't find it on Gumtree either...perhaps not listed yet? I do know it is for sale.

So what is it worth?
I was shocked at first but where are you going to get one like it? You could import one but the same quality is probably going to cost the late teens or more depending on the car, we are talking quality by the time it's landed.Gerry's car proved there are buyers out there in the low teens? Maybe they have had time to save. You would need to be single or have an understanding wife or a good stash of cash that she don't know about. Tell her you got it off a grandma for a cuplah grand.Imagine gettin busted after making comments about $100 hair cuts mmm high risk but probably worth it.

I think i might spend the same amount on ol yella over the next few years, it fixes the hair problem if she can spend $100 on her hair i can spend a $100/500 or more on a car is fair.

Hey Davo it's only $500 a month for 5 years. Just do another gig a week? it would suite your carport. You can stop at coona on the way home and stock up on some trophy's 8-) .You alway's dreamed of that minta.
You know you want too.

p.s If i am in big trouble for the above comment's i am already committed to an argument i might as well buy the car as Liz can only get so cranky there is a limit. I don't need it (i can't say i don't want it) and it's in my nature to give it a good home.

Hi all. Sorry i wasnt more clear about the Wasp.
It is up for sale but has not been listed or photos taken. If i get a chance and Folks are happy to do it i will get some pics posted.
It is better overall than Dave Wasp but certainly not as tidy as the GT!!
Asking price on that one is 5K..

And Heather is keen to sell to a Bellett Enthusiast so both vehicles may not go to just any buyer who walks up with the cash.
Reckon the new buyer would want to get a Plastic bubble with humidity controlled air to store it so it dont loose its value.

And its only 15 min drive away from me. Big Sigh.

No, but I'm planning to live to 150 to pay off my debts.

Greg, I'm thinking Japan's looking like the best option every time. At least, there's always half a dozen on offer at any one time, and 1800GT's seem to be quite cheap in good (not mint) condition. Will wait until after the wedding - any purchase will put the Bond on hold for a long time (expendature will be capped and heavily sanctioned).

Chris, it took me an hour to get there, then the little guy decided to have a tanty ( ), so I never even got to drive the car! Not happy. We did start her up and Keith gave it a blast up and down the driveway (I think he would have like to have kept going) before the photos were taken. Had a good look at it though, it certainly has some endearing qualities (hubcaps, wing mirrors and headrests - not pictured - especially neat things to have). I may head back up for a drive, depending on how things pan out.

Cheers,
Duane

Your right Duane

Japan is not expensive and you may even come home with a 1600 fastback or something else just as rare!
And i am sure you would have change of 20K for your effort. Or bring back two or 3 just not quite as immaculate and have a 117 1980 version, a 1971 1800 GT with ugly square rear lights and still not spent your 20K.
I have subscribed to Nostalic Hero for the last six months and there are still quite a few Bellett's mainly GT and 117's advertised
Road trip is coming on.

I can feel it in the blood
