Very nice modified 1968 GT up for sale

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Isuzu-Bellett-GT ... dZViewItem

I am sure it would cost more to build than Reg is asking for the car.

I'm not keen on the modified door handles....

But I should shut up about that. With any luck the buyer will join our site!

That car would fly! I recon the dark paint looks pretty cool too. We should email the seller and tell them about this site, and tell them to tell the buyer about it too!

That would be the first turbocharged Bellett I've ever heard about. Take a look at that engine bay! That's what you call a tight fit. I wonder if I could turn the steering over on that one! :D

there's been alot more turbo'd ones over here before this one.
and speaking of this one, it's been around for a while too, but has changed a bit since i last saw it.

the other turbo ones that i know about:
there were 2 brothers in melbourne in the early-mid 80's with a GT and a sedan, from memory. we christened them the "turbo brothers". don't have any pics of the cars tho. the GT had a turbo'd GT engine, and the sedan had a turbo rotary. don't know what happened to them.
there is a race sedan that been around since the late 70's with another turbo rotary. was originally sponsored by the shell service station in dee why (sydney), then it came to melbourne. have pics somewhere here of it. car still exists.
there was a turbo'd gemini engine in a GT from sydeny around the late 80' to early 90's. have pics of it at the nationals in 92. was written off in a big smash (rolled i believe) on the way home from the nats.

Hey dude!

Heaps glad you joined up! Us Bellett people have got to stick together or face extinction (with apologies to Redback's numberplate, XTINCT).

The more the merrier!

Cheers

i have never owned one but my old man used to be in the bellett car club in NSW and has owned about 5 or 6 of em before, then my pop had a few of em aswell, had a sports sedan bellett, he knows them inside out though, knows how to set them up real good, its really a great car to drive and ill never let it go to waste, im going to be repainting it (same blue) jsut going to completely overhaul the body and tidy up engine bay a bit a few things, im actually desperatly chasing a stock GT steering wheel so if anyone has one they would like to sell me (crap or good) let me know ASAP!

Hey Waldo,

List your needs in the 'Wanted' section and someone should be able to fix you up. I think the steering wheels are pretty hard to come by though.

Cheers,
Ross.
