I saw that car after Adelaide last year. The owner (not this one) approached me in Gin Gin and told me about it. I got his phone number and address and contacted him on the way home. He wanted $400.00 for it. It was parked up under the house and the stench from the rat pee and droppings was fairly hiiiigh. He also told me that another bloke was interested in it as well. I said that I would ask around and see if anybody was interested. I wasn't and I thought it was only worth $100.00. Fair enough the engine had been done up. New pistons, bearings etc. But not worth $400.00. The front seats were not genuine. To much rust and would only be suitable as a parts car. If someone had the time ,and I mean years, maybe dooable. It looks as though he's found a buyer or has made arrangements to sell it for him. Dave. |

pa_man wrote: Well it sold for $1000, any one on the forum buy it?? Josh Did a forum member buy it? YEP! Did he pay to much? I don't think so (but I guess that's relative to what a person see value in... but in the minds of majority YEP! 3 times too much) Why??? Because it's closest thing he could find to a Morris Marina coupe, besides you can never have too may teardrop projects (I'm at 3 and counting with a possible 2 others in my radar) Hmmmm what to name this one Might have to get it home and get to know it a little first, see what sort of personality it develops |

Sooooooo, Donkey's homing beacon is working then! Tracy is sure that when a Bellett comes to reside with you, it sets up a beacon that messages all others that yours is a 'Bellett friendly' address. Those then work on their neglecting owners to sell/give them to you, so they can be with their kind, and hopefully get some attention. Hmmm, I wonder if they then combine beacons, with an amplification in magnitude allowing them to reach further and wider? It makes sense, otherwise how did one find its own way here from Inverell? And from Tarrawingee, thats in a whole other state! 3 Belletts.......I reckon your next one may come from interstate! Goodonya for saving him/her, hopefully not too big a job to fix. Cheers, Matt. |

Well that's 3 "teardrop" Belletts anyway, plus I have the rusty 66 shell (RIP) from Davo that is packed with teardrop doors and panels and I also have the blue 69 strip light ex WA racer sitting in the driveway as well (currently getting a little loving) so yeah you could say that the beacon is working well Matty. |
