VZ Commodore Ute V6 LPG 175kw => 190kw Engine Upgrade
Hi All
I need some help with a conversion I have done on a VZ 2007 LPG 175kw Ute.
Story So Far
We purchased this 2007 VZ Factory duel fuel 175kw Ute - 4 Speed - It Always in limp mode due to Timing chains being stretched. DTCs crankshaft/camshaft sync? Can’t remember the exact numbers.
Any way we sourced a brand new SV6 190kw Full VVT create engine which has now been fitted to the car.
We are using the SV6 190kw wiring loom supplied with engine.
The car cranks, but not start.
Was told by the engine seller the 190kw engine will run with Exhaust cam sensors disconnected.
Not really Ideal in my opinion
I have removed the 175kw ECU and looking reflashing it with HPT to 190kw VVT specification.
Current ECU details
Dual LPG/ULP
Software Module 1 92193811
Software Module 2 92198596
Software Module 3 92193812
Wanting to flash it with the below specification but don’t have calibration? If anyone can help with stock file would be appriciated
SV6 Auto Petrol
Software Module 1 92193811
Software Module 2 92225238
Software Module 3 92193812
The other issue is the Auto 5 speed Vs Auto 4 speed? What issues may come of this
Has anyone done this conversion before?
Any help sorting this out will be appriciated
Regards Matt

I don't think that calibration you want is for a 190Kw as most of the latest of them start with 92190064 or similar.
The closest I have to what you said you want is same 1st & 3rd segment but midlle is 92225244 & suits a 175kw crewman manual!

Re: VZ Commodore Ute V6 LPG 175kw => 190kw Engine Upgrade
From the 50 or so VZ read's I've done & got the 92193811 has always been in 175Kw engines, there were different 190Kw early cal's something like 9217**** but then after that all the 1's I've ssen are 92190064.
That module 2 from what I understand is for the body type changes & that number you quoted in the last post rings a bell, but the module 2 from your first post I don't have either of them so wouldn't mind a copy if you have them (assuming not for the 1 you were asking but other maybe).

if its in fact an SV6 then its 190kw, if its an S then 175!
SV6 and Berlina/Calais where the only with the 190kw motor and 5 speed auto, all the rest were 175kw and 4L60E 4 speed auto.
All had the D173 6 speed manual.

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: VZ Commodore Ute V6 LPG 175kw => 190kw Engine Upgrade
There has been some good progress with the VZ ute with 190kw conversion.
Some Interesting findings about the different 3.6L engines and calibration used.
Now that the car is running and surprisingly drives really good with the 4 speed.
Just need to workout the VCT then ill put onto the dyno.
Funny tho when i went back to the wrecker selling the engines and told him that his disconnect the cam sensors trick did'nt work.
He basically insulted me that i didn't know what i was doing and should swap looms from the 175kw engine that will make it work before i could get another word in.
Later i told him I now have the car running its out front of your shop he begged me for my business card for future info or tuning needs. What a Dooshbag
