I have a Samoa Blue 1964 Bellett for sale with or without a large number of parts both new and used. It is currently club registered and in good condition with a newly reconditioned engine. I would welcome any inquiries as I am not now able to keep it in the condition it deserves.

I do have photos of the car and have included them with this post. My phone number is 02 6254 2383. I am retired so am available most times and days and would be happy to arrange a time/day for viewing/talking about the car and parts. Cheers, Paul Attachment:

She's a beauty and has the all-black front badge of a true '64. I don't think I can convince my wife that it is sufficiently different from an early '66 (same grille, different badge, different c-pillar badge) to allow me to buy it!
Pheff I take it that it's a floor-shift? I've got a column-shift sedan and if I replace it, I could only replace it with a column-shiftus as well. Not trying to cut your lunch either Matt, but I thought I'd like to know!
Cheers
Dave

4 speed floor shift, that's all there was in 1964, although I believe there was a bench seat column change version available at some stage. Cheers, Paul

Yes there was in the sedans; I've got one. According to my brochures, in Japan it was also offered in the Wasps, Bellett B's and Express wagons, plus some variants also got a 3-speed column shift, plus 3 and 2-speed column shift autos!
Thanks for getting back to me. I'm sure someone will be 100% keen on your car; it looks so good!

No worries, Dave, and yes, there were column shifters in '64. I bought one for parts in 1980 and it had the "camping body" bench seat which dropped back on 2 big hinges. In fact I still have the glove box manual from it (Chassis No. PR20-4018076). I'll be in canberra on thursday, Paul and am keen for a look so I'll ring wednesday to find a time. Cheers Matt.

Hello all, I had a look at Paul's car the other day. This is one for "original freaks"(like me). It is a genuine 1 owner and a low number car. It has been well maintained and is original right down to the D.C. generator and regulator (a la wasp). This was the family car for many years (only being replaced when child No.5 came along!) and comes with an array of spares. Condition is good - back seat has been re-upholstered, drivers seat seams are starting to open-up, dash has a small crack, paint thinning, but sound. Otherwise pretty much as new.Motor has been re-built and started from cold without any rattles. Zero rust. Hubcaps perfect! Car is on club plates. Paul just wants it to go to an enthusiast who will love it. I'd like it to come live here, but I don't have the money just now. And Tracy is probably right that I don't realy NEED it. But she is intrigued. (And its not about "need"). Maybe I'll get a lotery ticket for Christmas! Hope my review is O.K., Paul.

Many thanks for your expression of interest, 1968GT, and also thanks to Matthew (POST Tue Oct 28 2008) for his kind words about my car. It was sold today and is already on its way down to its new home where it will be cared about in its retirement by a real enthusiast.

Congratulations Guys, It looks like you have picked your self up a little beauty there. You are going to have to get yourselves an Isuzu Car Transporter to bring your collection to the Nationals
