Appears to be wanting offers thrown his way.... Cheap buy for anyone in NZ? or even in Australia if they wanna share a container!!!! $1,000ono ($1k NZD = $785AU) and reading the thread seller just wants it gone - throw him an offer!!!! Comes with parts as well..... http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewto ... 14&t=26039 Intersetingly, someone else has responded in the thread (third post) that they have plenty of parts - maybe worth one of you Bellett people following up???? More info on the car: http://oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=15101

OZ Admittedly, i doubt you would be able to buy the car and have it shipped here in a container for $2K!!Unless you flog off the parts that come with it!!! If anyone would be interested - i can certainly find out. My shipping agent would look after us!! Or it could be done RoRo (Roll on Roll off) which is cheaper again, but car needs to be running (reliably)!! I've done several cars to from NZ and to/from Japan to NZ... I prefer container shipping for this sort of stuff. I bought another car which is in Christchurch and comes with plenty of parts - very similar deal to this Bellett except my parts are NOS.

sorry wasnt trying to be smart!
just looking seriously at what we pay for sedans.
and here in SA we are still seeing reasonable sedans selling for under 1K. when they come up for sale. good ones go for 2K
parts cars around $200
so even if you got the car for NZ500, it would likely cost you AU2500 landed. that already means it owes you quite a bit for what may only be a moderate condition sedan you likely pay at most AU1500 here in aus.
but it does depend on what parts and if there are any NOS stuff there
and all the logistics to get it all to the container *&^%##$&*^$##$^

OZ No offence taken - just posting the Bellett for sale for interest sake. Remember....I'm a Skyline man....I'm not that familiar with the going rates for Bellett's!!!! I'm probably used to "thinking" Prince GT prices - if it was a Prince GT it would be worth it - the last three "resto project Prince GT's" that have sold in our group have been for, on average $5,500 - and all three are undergoing ground up restorations....If a Bellett such as this is worth $2k locally probably wouldn't be worth it. But....there comes a time when they all go up in value - in 5 years, 10 years......however long, we tend to always look back and wish we had have bought them at $2K now they are $10K... We never thought Prince GT resto projects would sell for $5-$6K, but it is what it is now!!!!

The last GTB I looked at was $300... Things have moved on a bit since then, an engine rebuild is scary enough. Out of my league these days, would love a 1500 though.

One of mine owes me half of that! she does need a little work though! There is one more Prince that i want - A 1500 Estate. I do know where one is (along with about 3 GT's and 2 other 1500's) in the middle of sh^t creek in SA just wasting away The reason why i want the 1500 Estate (and i might add i'm confident i will have first dibbs at it) is that it is Build number '1' - the first Estate made. Not that i need any more cars!!! Attachment:

Holy cow! I was going to mention the Estate...that sounds like a fantastic find, and a typically sad story. Wouldn't kick a Gloria Estate out of the driveway either. But we digress. I could prattle on forever with wish lists.
