HI GUYS I HAVE ONCE AGAIN BID ON A PAPER ADD ON EBAY ITEM 160968868666 CHEERS DAVO ..STILL HAVNT GOT MY CAR ON THE ROAD ...ITS BEEN A HARD YEAR $$$ IT WAS HOLLIDAY TO K.L OR $$ ON THE CAR . I HAVE 2 YOUNG DAUGHTERS WHO WILL REMEMBER THE HOLLIDAY MORE THAN HAVING MY CAR DREAM MOVE ALONG A BIT MORE ...AH SUCH IS LIFE .....ITS ALL GOOD ..I READ ALL THE POSTS ...WOULDNT BE THE SAME WITHOUT THE FORUM TO KEEP US ALL IN TOUCH CHEERS DAVO

not happy jan ...someone slipped under my gaurd and bought the bellett add which i had posted ...that i was bidding on ....pretty low ... cheers ..davo

Hey Davo,
Moved your post about the Bellett advert to General Bellett Chat; the history section is more for scans of actual brochures and adverts.
No dramas though!
That guy has put a few up; I bought a Wasp one a few weeks ago.
It's good that we can mention this stuff on here; no point bidding hard against our mates - sometimes it's just first in, best dressed.
Years ago I bidded hard for a Bellett cigarette case (it was advertised as an ashtray). I bailed out at about $100.... and a few years later at the first Nationals I went to, I discovered I'd been bidding against Peter McKill! If it wasn't for me, he probably would have got it for about $30.00.
I apologised....!

Mighta been a non-forum bidder mate! There are still a few, apparently. The seller may come up with another, I've seen a few duplicates come up. He must have a lot of old Heralds!
