Hi guys,
Does anyone have some spare pair? Mine have died so likely a worn contact...haven't had time over the last 6 weeks to whip them out to check (just can't drive after dusk)!
Cheers, Duane

Everything Im looking at says the main switches are the same, the only difference is the fog lamp toggle switch next to the heater controls

Yes, the main switches are the ones I'm after, same on 1500's and GT's.

Thanks to Oz and Josh for the switches guys.
Now..okay...obviously there must be some trick to this. The headlight switch is now unclipped, but I cannot get access to the loom to disconnect the switch itself...there are a lot of things that seem to unscrew and/or unclip in front of the switch to help with access, but none of them will actually unscrew or unclip. Before I start attacking 50 year old plastic parts with a screwdriver, can anyone tell me how do you get these bastards out?

put switch back in, reach around behind it and unplug the 4 pin connector and then remove the switch with the now loose wiring and connector. May have to get on the floor and reach up behind the dash fitting is reversed

Hmmm...that easy, eh? I've tried that and couldn't get it to budge (also unsure whether I had the right connector/loom). I'll give it another go and be more brutal this time. Cheers.

Unfortunately, it's not so easy...the centre console needs to come out, but after undoing everything I could find, that won't budge either!

Eventually found the hidden screws beneath the console, but when I connected the new switch the problem was still there...gave up and sent it to an auto electrician...turned out to be the fuse box! Bead-blasted and replaced all the pins, good as new. Thanks for the help guys...recon dizzy and alternator are next! Anyone have a spare of either?

Duane this will fit and just needs a small length of vacuum hose between the original metal line and the new hose connection. worked a treat on my Auto Sedan! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1974-1975-74 ... 24b&_uhb=1OZ

and the alternator...
try a quote for recon from Smith Bros Auto Electrics at Holden Hill as GTtoo had them do some work and was very pleased with the cost and the outcome!
approx $200 i reckon to have it done

Cheers oz...Josh sent me a link to the dizzy guys also, many thanks...will hit the button on one of these. My centre bearing is stuffed, so hard to get the timing right.
Thanks for the tip re: alternator...I was considering buying another for recon so I could do a swap over, seeming as I need the car to drive daily, but just occurred to me my wife will not be studying second half of the year, so I will have the Fiesta and can afford to be without the Bellett for a few days. Do you remember when you visited and looked through my parts? There's an alternator amongst the bits I have here, but I remember you saying it wasn't Bellett...may do regardless?

if its not original Bellett, then either the connections wont be correct or the fittings to the engine wont be. either way its not worth bastardizing around with it. better to get another and get it done. bound to be a few about my shed somewhere!
but i would not bother getting it done unless the bearings are noisy or the charging circuit is not working. while it works, let it be.
