Convert V6 Netres To V8
Re: Convert V6 Netres To V8
Hi all,
I'm doing a delco conversion on a chrysler 318 but I am unsure what I need to do in regard to the netres. The Memcal's I have are out of 4 & 6 cylider The EFI setup im using is TBI does this effect any of the resistance value's? or do I just need to cut the pin to change it to V8. Does the netres set the no. of cyl I notice the $5D xdf has this setting but the $12ose xdf (what I plan to use) does'nt. any help or links to info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Convert V6 Netres To V8
im not too sure actually about the TBI injection side of it i presume a V6 memcal with the pin cut should be fine as for bins to use i know vl400 has another one coming soon with 4 6 and 8 cylinder support in the one bin as to weather it has TBI support like the early bins thats a question for him to answer will most likely depend on how many injectors are in the TBI unit im sure with a simple fudge of the injector constant youll be fine to run it no matter what
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

So from What I understand,
I can just get away with cutting the 15k leg?
Not needing to add a 7.5k resistor or a solid jumper anywhere?
cheers

Is there anyone who knows if you can convert v6 netres to 4 cyl .And if you can how you do it.
Re: Convert V6 Netres To V8
dont think you would need to when there are
plenty of 4 cyl netres floating around

4 cylinder is the same as 6 cylinder but with the resistors the other way around. its probably easyest to rip the chip out and solder in new 7.5k and 15k reistors so that the same 3 points are connected but with the resistors in the opposite positions.

netres resistors. The factory TBI setting is used for 2 cylinder mode in OSE 12P.
