This Kombi and trailer combo looks great, but that trailer sort of hurts my brain! He should power it with a set of Segway mechanicals and drive it around by itself (not possible, I'm sure)
In terms of Jap cars, that looks like a Toyota Mark II coupe! They imported only a handful of these.
This is a car we never got; you guys would know better than me but it's the 1960's Opel Commodore isn't it? The GM styling of the '60s is evident; you can see a lot of the Holden Monaro in the shape (or a lot of Opel in the Monaro's shape - I'm not sure who was first but they probably were being styled around the same time anyway):
We didn't get any of these nice little Opel Manta coupes (have I got the right car?), but we got plenty of those Celicas! 2ldohc just sold one to make way for his 1969-model Bellett (wise move!).
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO the horror!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry the Datsun 120Ys are OK. That one is mint!
This is a nice car - Can you guys let me know what it is (Opel, guess, but what model). I like it!
OLIVER!!!!!!!!!! I'm fairly certain this is an Opel Kadett B ... the same sort that Richard Hammond fell in love with in Africa! (and named it Oliver!)
What's this??? I'm normally good at cars, but some of the ones in this collection have me stumped!
Toyota Crown!
Bertone Volvo! "Hi Mr Bertone? Have you finished re-designing our car yet" "Shit, I forgot, I'll come up with something..... I'll just chop the roof and cover it in vinyl. They'll never know!" Bertone's ugliest car ever! But it's fantastic (because it's awful).
Opel GT's look cool - we never got these either... in fact, we really didn't get ANYTHING from the 60s or 70s that was Opel unless Holden redesigned it, stuck their own engine in it (for better or worse) and sold it as a Holden!
The most important part:
Mr J's Bellett!
Anyway, I grabbed a few of the interesting photos for the forum but there are about 190 photos so go and have a look.
Mr J I hope you didn't mind that I stuck some of the photos directly in the forum.
Cheers,
Dave
