Does anybody know or have aprt to measure, I am after the dimensions of the upper front wishbone bush

I 'think' it has a pressed in metal tube also. But if i have the basic dimensions i can look for something to replace it or perhaps turn up a new one.

Nolathane have a zillion bushes but finding right one is proving hard with out dimensions.

Hi Glenn,
. I have recently been able to get my bushes out, so will be able to measure them for you. They do have a steel shell, and a crush tube. I will be getting new ones made up in the new year out of urethane, but I think they will be reusing the old crush tube. I will have the moulds then, should any more be needed, but would need to sort out the crush tubes.

Thanks, that will be great if you can measure for me.

Nolathane list many sized bushes (all dimensions shown) and I was hoping to find something suitable.

I take it from what you say there is an inner and outer metal tube ? Perhaps you could take some pics also when you remove them. Main interest in top bush.

I have an upper and lower arm out of a car that I measured up, nolathane had a few that were close, but would require different size centre sleeves. I think for one of the arms (probably upper) the rodeo shackle bushes were fairly similar in size.

I have been through all the listings, and the only options require quite a few modifications. I will measure them tomorrow at work and let you know.

ok front upper arm bushes----shell o.d. 36mm, shell flange 44mm. Total length of crush tube 41mm, i.d. of crush tube 12mm. ( o.d. of crush tube app.18mm)
lower arm bushes---- shell o.d. 32mm, shell flange 44.75mm. Total length 52mm. Crush tube i.d. 16mm (o.d. 20mm )
rear arm bushes -----shell o.d. 34mm, shell flange 51.5mm. Total length 84mm. crush tube i.d. 14mm (o.d. 20mm app.)
Now these measurements are taken from the used bushes removed from the arms of my 67GT., using a set of manual verniers. They are as accurate as I can provide, but if anyone has new bushes to measure, please do.
Cheers, Warren.

Many thanks. Gives me an idea on what to look for.

Note comments also of nothing in catalogs. Alternative is to machine up new stuff of course.

is there an outer metal tube also or just the metal of the arm itself?

Your top and bottom red lines don't exist along the length of the bush, just across one end, but otherwise looks good.

some good stuff here on making your own bushes. Not sure where you can get urethane rod though?

used to be able to buy several different duros of urethane rod from Nolathane/Pedders (red ranger), and possibly from fulcrum. haven't seen any for a while though, so I may be out of date with my info.
