injector bpc
Re: injector bpc
First actual problem found. MAP reading in efi live is sitting on 98.4 and no fluttering like normal. Voltage of map was fine and everything else efi live shows is fine.
Gonna go through and check the earth.......now is when I kick myself for moving all engine bay wiring including the MAP sensor under the dash lol.

Re: injector bpc
Gonna throw this up then rest my hurting head for the night.
The earth is fine.
Power to it is fine.
The middle green wire is not showing anything.
If I unplug the MAP my reading drops down to 50ish kpa and jumps around as it normally should ( maybe it does this in limp mode) and the engine picks up revs but in general runs fine.
Plug the MAP back in and instantly 98kpa and everything goes to crap again.
Tried two different MAP sensors and same with either one.
Disconecting vacume makes no difference.

Re: injector bpc
If you're running a 4 barrel style throttle body have you hooked up to manifold vacuum or ported vacuum which is used for those running a distributor with vacuum advance?
Re: injector bpc
And there it is. Two vacuum ports next to each other and yep I got the wrong one. Was on my list to check when I got it running but forgot all about it.
As soon as darcy mentioned it I knew what it was straight away.
Car now sits and idles on 48ish kpa and not running rich.
Always such a simple thing and now feel a little stupid
A huge thankyou to all the help everyone, I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
Now the worst part is telling the mrs the actual reason she couldn't run it down the strip two weeks ago..........

Re: injector bpc
haha allways something simple but the plus side you did find one stuffed injector that would of made getting it running smooth hard LOL
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem
Re: injector bpc
Thats true and it's been another learning curve that has taught me stuff I would never have learnt other wise.

Re: injector bpc
This proves how important data logging is I never fire a fresh engine till I have the lappy on it logging!!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!
