The 50th Anniversary of the beginning of the Australian Touring Car Championship will be celebrated in Orange NSW, in February 2010 the 13th & 14th. Organised by the Orange Classic Car Club, this event is held in Jack Brabham Park which is the original Pit area for the Gnoo Blas Racing Circuit. The Circuit obly lasted 8 years with Bathurst winning the arguement, however the Orange Calssic Car Club has started this show some years ago and every year it gets bigger and better. Gary Smith and myself have attended in February this year and we had a great day, this years event should be even better with Jack Brabham as the specila guest, Jack held the lap record on this track right up until the last event. the car show on the Saturday is $8-00 to enter, if you elect to go to the dinner on Saturday night, another $40-00 a head, nor expensive and should be very interesting next year. Should you wish for further details, email me or contact me on 0412600469, or email denisgregory@bigppnd.comHope to see you there, or as many as possible.

2 Weeks to go and we have the Orange Car Show/Weekend. This is a great day on Saturday for the Car Show at Jack Brabham, if you have the time and the money it makes for a great weekend. When you drive around what was used as the Gnoo Blas Race Track, where Jack Brabham had the track record up until the second last meeting, you realise how bad the safety side of Racing was those days. This event gets bigger every year and is worth a look into. Dave M.

Sorry I can't be there, Dave - It's a time thing. Gary called in on his way up & it was great to have the visit. Very handy too, as he was able to bring me some spares! Hope you have a great day & that the weather is kind to you. Cheers, Matt.

Well Guys the weather wee'd on us most of the day!! I left Mudgee about 640 am to meet up with a Member from the Mudgee Club and we travelled over together, much better if you can travel in pairs in case of any trouble. We drove as far as Ilford, dry, however once we left Ilford and travelled towards Bathurst, we had light rain, stopped in Bathurst for a coffee at the Restaurant of the Golden Arches. 1/2 an Hour later leaving for Orange, we barely reached the town limit as and the sky opened up, torrential rain majority of the way, the GT was aqua plaiing on water running across the road. When we arrived at JACK BRABHAM Park the grounds were wet and slushy, with a great deal of care we negotiated our way to the display location, trying not to get too much mud on the cars. Gary Smith was already in place. Roughly 1240 the rain stopped the water on the grass dissappeared, the rest of the day was great. Before we left we lined our Belletts up with ICCA member Allan Cherry from Lithgow's, Nissan Silvia for a photo session, as we lined up the cars so did the crowd, next thing the TV cameraman turned up from Prime, who just happened to be in a previous life, a Bellett owner. The cameraman took video of the cars together and the engine bays of the Silvia and my GT, if it does go on air it would be on the Prime News on Monday night, watch for it on Prime Monday evening, just in case!!?!?!? The ride home was cool, not as wet and after what ended up being another great with Belletts!! YES GUYS PHOTOS TO COME. HEY DAVE OR ROSS IS IT POSSIBLE TO PUT VIDEO ON THE bellett.net SITE???

Glad you had a good time & the hail warnings weren't needed. We have had beautiful rain here - 78mm & about another million litres in the dam!! Lookin' forward to the pics! Matt.

There will be more photos to come, here are the first 2. I will post photos of the 2 Belletts with the very nice red Nissan Silvia belonging to a ICCA member from Lithgow. We were all ready to have pontoons and an Outpoard mottor fitted to our cars.
