I do not want my money back as i said my cars are not for sale.My point is eg if you realy want a gt and dont have the ability to rebuild one its worth money. If you think you can buy one for $2000 a build it for under the $5000 being offerd your dreaming if you can build one under $10000 good luck to you.We being myself and isabella grand tourer are in business and have a fully blown workshop with a staff member who is a qualified panel beater and we will spend close to the $10000 mark. the best part of the build is we built them with some help, and the money going out at $1000 now and then is not a shock. what is original my red gt is not original i did not build it to that spec however the modifications are adapted to the car original mounts for seats, engine ect are still as isuzu built them.Steering wheel mounted on the wall I find the isuzu one too thin but its still there. There are 3 other gt's in my shed being restored none will be perfectly original but i can assure you if they were not in the right hands they could be out the back with the pr90 r.i.p. THE POINT IS THIS CAR IS PRESERVED AND IS A CREDIT TO WHO HAS KEPT IT THIS WAY ORIGINAL OR NOT IT IS STILL A GT THAT CAN BE ENJOYED. IF YOU WANT A FACTORY SPEC CAR BUY IT THE HARD WORK IS DONE. i.e coat of paint change the radiator ect. who knows what is the value of the car is? who wants it? how old and what condition is the resto? yes the guys got everyone anxious but dont insult his car without the facts. It would look nice in my shed i would luv it.

Firstly, sorry I don't have a computer at the moment and have been doing this in my spare time - family and small business - make for a very busy schedule. My intention was not to mess any interested parties around but as mentioned trying to get good pictures and as much invoiced work on vehicle available for people to view has taken longer than anticipated. The copies of invoices supplied were to give a fuller picture of what restoration has been completed on the vehicle. The car unfortunately was not an inheritance, much to my disappointment - mum was not a Bellett enthusiast and wanted every dime dad had spent on that vehicle back!!! LOL My ebay auction will be running in the next week to 10 days and I will certainly post details of auction when final arrangements have been made. The reserve pricing for the vehicle will be $800 no sorry, Dave missed '0' the reserve price will be set at $8,000. Please feel free to contact me to discuss any aspect of the sale and vehicle details: 0417 506 567 and also fujisil@hotmail.comThanks Steve

There a still a few questions that i have, Steve.
When was the car last running and why were the carbie pulled down. Are ALL the parts there as it seems at least the carbi fuel bowl covers are missing?
Thanks.
Chris

Sure Rod and GT orph. For some of us it is shell out the cash over 3-10 years as we cant do any of the work. For others we can do some of the work and minimize our outlay over that time period. But it is much easier to find 10K over a period of time than to have to find 10K right up front out of the bank balance or the mortgage. And also easier to hide the real total cost than to say to "her indoors", i need 10K for a 45 year old car!! Agreed the car looks lovely from the photos and anyone on this Forum would love a car like this in the garage but i would prefer 3 3K cars and not have all my money tied up in one project. My last purchase was a 3K car but it still needs work to bring it back to Isuzu Original. There is a difference between bolts used on the bonnet hinges and bolts used to secure the guards.

Rod i did say if you can build one under 10k good luck to you it depends on what you start with? as we all know you have to start with what you find. I think $8000 that Steve has suggested is a fair price.

Hey Rod. We all would like to see it happen but it is just as likely that it will never appear here or on eBay with any definite price as cars like this often sell to people who know the owner.

He's already said he's flat out running a small business and with his family. He's put his mobile number on the forum a few posts up, so instead of suggesting things which may or may not be fact, why not just call him and get it from the horse's mouth???
