There was a discussion on convertable belletts a short while back and i mentioned one in toowoomba that i was going to track down, well i did this and as the body is still possibly saveable it has been purchased as a parts car.Other than the dash that was not removed from the shell all other parts lived in the guys house for the last 25 years so all as good as can be expected, even the original fog lights Its a relief in a way as we still have another one to do and we were starting to miss a few details as it is too easy to rape the complete car in the corner when you are desperate for a part. You tell yorself i will find that bit when i need it? knowing you probably wont.Over the next week I will ensure its stored safe[straight to the pool room as quoted in the castle].

That shape makes a damned fine convertible! Looks about as safe as any other drop-top from the 1960s too...!

WOW the thought of having to deal with transport to get it back on the road would be a bigger challange than restoring it.I have enough trouble dealing with this life form on a day to day basis. If i was to do it the roof of the pr90 would be fitted it would make a great race/club car:twisted: p.s this car would be open slather no originalty what so ever Fitting the roll cage would not be to hard.

I can get it to coona for you Ken no worries it will be powerd by 245 isuzu hp,it would be rude to bring it down on another brand. As for the 305 chev liz would prefer a big block we had a ski boat with a 454 big block, our boat has a 383 stroker around 380hp a she sill compares it to the big block on lack of power.LEADFOOT Liz power junkie.

i would steer away from the 305 my prefrence would be a 327 nice revy motor but fyi the 305 has a smaller bore then the 307/327/350/400 all share the same bore size.but the 305 is the odd one out you can still stroke the 305 with a 400 crank flywheel and harmonic ballancer and deck the pistons give you a 334.As for the rest of the family all parts are more common and cheaper. These things are reasonably cheap to pull big horse power but could be a little cruel on a little wasp. I have a 08 v6 rodeo stored that i could own very easy if you are interested i dont know if the 2wd gearbox bolts to the new v6.It was sugested for walter but he is to stay close to standard, minor mods that could have been done in its era are ok. If you were to leave the isuzu stable there are some good options v8 lexus,or modern 4cyl turbo, twincams if its v8 i would go toyota alloy v8 over chev man did i just suggest that.
