Hey does anyone want to partake in an Isuzu cruise (I say Isuzu as last time we had a Florian and a 117 coupe on the cruise!) this coming Monday Queens Birthday - 14/06/10 ???

Weather in the preceeding days should be 'fine, partly cloudy' so that's a good start.

I was thinking somewhere central-ish in the hills coz there are people from North, North East, East and South on this forum!

I mean, if we went to Victor or Goolwa or something it would be a VERY long cruise for the Northerners!

So at a pinch I was going to suggest a cruise to Lobethal to the Lobethal Hotel for a parmy or something equally healthy.

Let me know if we have partakers partaking in said cruise!

I haven't run this buy Ross or anyone else. Or my wife for that matter. Hmmm....

Pending.

Let me know!

Cheers,

Dave

Duane has advised that the long weekend is the Sea and Vines Festival at McLaren Vale. I don't know if that means it's a time to go to the area or avoid it!

I'm not sure if it should be embraced or avoided either :?

Lots of great food and wine, bands and activities, but lousy for parking, traffic and breatho's on the way back (I'm sure we're all responsible drivers, but they slow the traffic up). I'm keen to take the Fiesta out for the run, meet some folks and talk Bellett's for the afternoon...I'll just pretend my plastic hatch is a GT.

I'll watch this space.

Cheers,
Duane

PS: Also have a mate with a winery in Cadell...I'll check if he has a cellar door (not literally). Might be a long run for another day though.

Good move Dave. I'd really like to, but were booked for the Gulgong run.(laughing face)
That might be a big-ish pretend Duane, but why not? You'll be in a Bellett one day for sure!
Go, you central-timers! And post pics!
More Belletts (Isuzus) on the road flying the flag!(plus immagination specials). All Good!
Cheers, Matt.

My delusion knows no bounds Matt.

Actually, when da missus and I spent the weekend at a Barossa Valley B&B a few years back, no amount of squinting could convince my brain that the Hyundai was a Series 1 E-Type Jag coupe. The reality was very depressing...so my delusion does have a cap. I'm currently having the Bond gearbox rebuilt in a shed full of E-Types, and my son loves sitting on them and yelling "daddy's car, daddy's car!", which is distressing for a number of reasons. :(

At least the Fiesta is closer in size to a Bellett.

Is the cruise a happening thing?
I'm in for it if it is. If not, some other time perhaps.

I'm still keen too. By the way, I mentioned the possibility of a Bellett cruise to my mate at Spook Hill Winery and he was absolutely pumped...seems one of his childhood mates came from a Bellett family, so it brought the memories back. If not this run, maybe give a Cadell run some consideration in the future...Jocko will lay it on. Here's their website (me 'n' da missus feature on it somewhere):

Cheers,
Duane

Yeah sorry Dave - I'm working the aforementioned Sea & Vines...

A run to Spook Hill in the future sounds interesting.

I actually forgot to follow this up....

what a dick.

Sorry people! It was a nice day too (albeit cold-as).

Perhaps next cruise needs to be less impromptu....

Cheers,

Dave

Yes.

On a Saturday.

Hopefully I can get a club of day permit for Bella if I get the carb jetted.

;)

Cheers
