READING STOCK EPROMS

Post by mattyc »

Hi guys,

ive got my moates gear this week and trying to read some stock eproms, i can seem to figure out how to read the 32pin eproms,

I have a vs supercharged v6 memcal here and some vs/vt v6 ones also, i can work out the file size etc when reading them,

do i have to change the addressing file codes?

im using a burn 2 and the moates flash & burn program

any help?

cheers

I don't think it supports them they are 27c1001 from memory and the moates burn 2 only supports AT29C256, 27SF512, and AM29F040 chips.
wich acccording to their website replace (2732A, 27C128/256/512/etc)

1001 and 010 and most chips with a combination of 0s and 1s in the name are the same thing, its just different manufacturers codes. All mean 1 mbit, which is 128k byte. the ones with 4s are 4mbit, which is 512k byte.

This type supports all commodores memcals and more like the nvram described on this site pretty much everything

i recently updated to one of these and think it was money well spent

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/True-USB-Willem- ... 483aeadf6f

or a cheaper alternative wich i had for several years

Go to http://www.mcumall.com for product info and software.
I use the GQ-4X as well and find it a great little unit.
