well I've decided to screw the 202 back together bush mechanic like, and run it on the test stand to see if the knock is still there so I can determine if the T700 is fucked or not ..... its a bit rough of a setup but I have had it running for 10-15 seconds at a time and I haven't heard any knocks, so im starting to wonder if its transmission or converter related!

Finally got some time to look into the gearbox and I think I found a possible culprit!!

This is the only issue I can find, and the picture does it justice!!! Wondering if some metal fragments have ripped through the converter fucking a bearing or similar and hense the low rpm knock ?!?!

I have to agree with delcowizzard as he said a stator sprag or maybe cracked pump.

Are you saying this is a result of the spline failure or the cause ??

Does this kind of failure sound like a big end knock??

all the insides of the TC will be flopping around inside it and most likely will see parts go past the hole in the TC when you tilt it left and right its in turn worn the end of the shaft

well this is pretty out of date hehe ... cars now running one of my extra clutched trimatics :) and seems to be working flawlessly now!

looks like its going to be fully delcod soon, going to be ordering the rest of the bits needed to remove the methanol 500 holley and run it back on injection (its already spark controlled by delco) so should make it nicer to start on cold mornings!

theres also been some talk of putting NOS onto it if funds allow! we have two months before the next Gunnedah drags so the goal is to have it at least efi'd by then ....NOS or not time will tell!
