New to Tuner Pro, need $51 xdf for VS V6?

Post by gibbo »

I am trying to learn tuner Pro, I have various bin files for non s/c v6 vs . Do I need the correct XDF? I have the $51 S/c v6 vs xdf, will this be close enough?, for say btxp. Does it matter that the definition file is for supercharged engine and my bin file is not?

some parts of it may be the same but alot of others will be wrong ....

for example, if you open up the main spark table you might find it looks all choppy, in this case its wrong .... but then you may open another table and it might be right.

Pretty sure there is a basic non-supercharged $51 XDF getting around, I think delcowizzid has it. If he doesn't see this thread then I'll poke him with a stick next time his on MSN

Ok got it, now more questions. There does not seem to be much in the switches/flags , only has theft deterrent flag. Is that right? Also I was hoping for a vss or ppk somewhere. My hilux has an v6 ecotech and 4l60-e. It has 31 inch tyres and a 4.8 diff. I would like to set the correct speed in the computer. I dont think all the shifts are quite right due to the gears and tyres.

Then some performance mods! :o

yeah it was made manually that xdf not from a hack so it isnt really well defined like a lot of the others.
