Re: 1999 Grand Prix GT 3.8 need help reading programming
I think i will be getting a few of those sockets. Thanks for the links they are a lot cheaper than what i was finding. I went to my local salvage yard today and picked up a few more PCM's . i got one out of a 1999 Grand Prix GTP 3.8 supercharged and one out of a 1998 Buick Park avenue 3.8 and one out of a 2000 Pontiac Montana with the 3.1 engine. The one out of the gtp is a little damaged but the Intel flash chip looks undamaged. All of the PCM's look identical on the inside other than a few minor components different colors on a few disk capacitors. There is also another number that is the same on all of the PCM's it's 16264967 you cant see it until you take the PCM apart. Does any one know were i can get a datasheet for the main CPU from what i have read it's a Motorola CPU but i cannot find a datasheet on it the part number is 16220809 here is a pic of it and one of the flash chips removed

Its likely a custom MCU based on a MC68332 processor.

DO you think the datasheet for the MC68332 would be close to my possessor found the PCM pin-outs might be interesting for some

Yeah, i would say it is that processor. Heres a bin file from a 1999 L67 GTP. There is a lot of similarities to the ls1 bins, though it is not exactly the same. VCMSuite loads the bin, and says its a P04 pcm (not to be confused with the civic pcms that are also called p04).

I know this post is old, but I wanted to add some info if I could. TinyTuner can't write to the ECU, but it seems that people were/are using tunercat to burn tunes.
