Although you could be right, I'm not sure there's a US/AU difference with ALDL, rather two distinct versions :POZE wrote:Looks like the ALDL is different on the US cars. - An old uni-directional 160 baud version that output a 12V data stream via the Check Engine light (unless in the US this protocol was output instead via an ALDL transceiver, with 5V signalling). Eg. our factory '808 ECM.
- A newer bi-directional 8192 baud version with a command-response protocol, via an ALDL transceiver (5V signalling). Eg. our '424 ECM.
