Re: Toyota Powered VL Calais
Yeah pretty keen to get it driving again, few things left to sort out still. The main thing is the front strut tops have fallen to pieces so need new ones, Noltec don't exist anymore so looking for alternatives that still give the adjustment range.
Its running two LS1 coils to retain the two dizzies, for now
And a pic of the trip computer from a VR/VS. Fits in the factory square dash cutout like it was designed for a VL!

Yeah cover under the steering column is not on yet, just gotta hook the horn back up, was going through my shift button setup previously - the horn wire and slip ring powered LED backlights in the buttons, up and down shifting and the horn.

Re: Toyota Powered VL Calais
Started getting the VR PCM and VY cluster talking today. Took more than I expected, as its always does, but now have...
- coolant temp
- manifold air temp (not displayed but the cluster can accept it)
- Check Engine Light
- Power/Econ Indicator
- Gear Display
Flashing (and beeping) codes via a VY dash...

Shifter position display...
