We spent some time on this today, got the right base tune installed, tweaked the injector rate a little, fixed up the thermo fan (found the relay was wired to gnd instead of B+), and found the alternator was dead... it still needs exhaust and some tuning (what its got was best guess without trying it), but I wanted to put some video up here showing its alive and is ready to run!

Its capable of idling between about 950 & 980. It was idling at 1500 first try, but we found the air leak :) That vid is higher as its a cold start and needs a tune. Earlyer in the day we let it warm up and thats when it happily sat at those rpm with about the right AFR. I'll update this thread after we dial it in a bit better.

We'll have a go at it this coming wednesday if things go to plan. Still have to replace the alternator and install an exhaust, so that could take the whole night after we get home from work. We'll see.

Swapped the alternator. Still not seeing more than 12v at the battery. Not sure if its a wiring issue or 2 bad alternators. Got most the exhaust on but then got rained out on that. Tweaked the tune a little, set all the warmup IAC steps to 0, as we have no speed signal yet so dont want to use the IAC as the car will never go in to idle mode, so that solved the high idle at key on for now, but its more of a hack till we do some more tuning and install a VSS. Thermo fan is working properly, it warmed up to 87ish degrees and clicked on, which cooled it to about 80 and it clicked off. Then removed a little AE because it was over richening when we gave it a rev so now it revs cleanly, but we ran out of time for the road test.

Nice one

Got a charge light on the dash for the alternator? Need that to tickle the insides of the alternator to make it charge.
