Hi guys,

Check THIS site out!

http://howmanyleft.co.uk

I'm not sure how it works, but it seems to tie into some kind of UK RTA database.

It's both very interesting and quite sad....

For instance, looking up Morris Marinas for a colleague of mind, I see with some disappointment that there were stacks of Marina TC automatics... then there were less... then, for YEARS, there were 2. Now there are none.

Interestingly, there are around 43 Ford GTs, the reborn GT40 that caused Jeremy Clarkson to develop that bald spot on his head.

No Belletts so maybe Pombellett hasn't got rego yet, but there are a stack of uncategorised Isuzu cars under 'Missing' so that may cover a few random jobs.

I keep thinking of stuff to look up! In looking up the Toyota Stout (none) I did find out how many 2000GTs were still registered there...

There are more than a few Aussie-built Chrysler Valiants! But no Mitsubishi Lonsdales, which was the Mitsubishi-Australia-built Sigma that was sold next to the Jap-built Galant.

Cheers,

Dave

I found the Lonsdales; they were actually sold as the brand-name Lonsdale, not under the Mitsubishi brand name.

From 157 in 1994 to just six....

The Trabants were East German!! And horrible in the most awesome way.

Unfortunately, computer says 'no'!

I put in 'Trabant', 'Sachsenring' and 'VEB Sachsenring' (Sachsenring was the actual manufacturer name) but no dice!

Spewing! I would have liked to have known. I'm sure there'd be one there.... maybe it's not registered.
