I would be more impressed if they did the COA, Como, or COA3 concept cars, or better yet the Bellett MX1600. The 4200R was the least "Isuzu" of any of the concept cars, apparently a sister car of the Buick Wildcat. The V8 with undisclosed details was a sure giveaway that it had little or nothing to do with Isuzu and was a GM derivative. And don't forget that the central theme of this design exercise was the idea of interconnectivity with the all important Fax machine built into the center console. The styling foreshadowed the JT191 sedan and the JT221 Coupe, but the COA3 (also a Nakamura design) was a more direct progenitor of those cars, with the same styling and its ceramic 4XE1 engine, a true Isuzu engine. Shiro Nakamura has a lot better Isuzu car designs to be proud of than the 4200R. |

Do you know when the Bellett GT 1600 is available in the Used Car Dealership - I keep looking after EVERY race so I don't miss it - or if you have 2 GT's you could "gift" one to me - I would trade ANYTHING I have in my garage.........anything. |
