I've been told by a few people now that a DeLorean DMC-12 is stalking around Adelaide.
Rad to the power of max! I've finally garnered photos although they were from a third party.
The rules here on LHD cars are a bit hazy. Pamphlets only mention rules up to 1974 (stock, no mods - not even stereo - as they were from the factory). However, the expanded literature states that post-1974 cars up to a rolling 30-years-old can be registered once they have been complied to the relevant ADRs. However, if you just open the pamplet, that's not mentioned.
Someone's worked out the rules, because this has REGO and is on the mean streets of Murdercity, Adelaide.

A guy in Darwin had one - he was a mate of a mate - and gave me a tour of it one night. They are weird cars (in a good way) quite surreal to sit in as well - my only let down was the motor - a V6 not a V8. That was a good day

@ redback - the v8 would have been a bad idea hanging all the way out the back there. I think the initial plan was to use a bespoke rotary back when they still thought that would be the solution to everything... instead the volvo/renault v6?
@ pr91 - yeah? Spill the beans.

Aaaah yes - gravity and physics and all that. It may have handled like a Chevy Corvair then. Learn by other peoples mistakes hey? Neil

And the corvair was one hell of a beautifull mistake in my opinion.
