We have been on Japanese soil for 24 hours now. Last night we landed in osaka the ride to our motel was a eye opener as they go through the boom gate at the speed limit 90km per hour boom gate down and two feet before impact its out of the road .
Tonight we spent with a gentleman from japan ex nissan australia he took us out to a traditional Japenese restraunt the first dish was a little strange and i was coping but someone had to ask what it was his reply was beef :? no we could not leave it at that and the next question was :?: me thinks i dont whant to know as the answer as it was not easily forth coming now was a good time to drop the subject and eat  The question was not left alone and now i want to hurl . Anyway from here on the food improved and we had a great night and some leads he was impressed with our photo's and passion with our cars.
With this experience out of the way we came home to our room and after using a public toilet today which you squat over a piece of pipe with the side cut out of it :o we were back to our trusty hotel room with a dunny that a nasa pilot would feel a liitle shy of operating it starts a process the minute you sit on it. so i take a firm hold of the STOP button and hold it the whole time :? Liz says about the food thing while i am on the loo and we said its was an experience and then she basicly dared me to take my finger off the button  so here we go :? with this comes the flush mmm not too bad then silence  i will get off now  bad idea i am not sure how this thing works meanwhile Lizzie can hardly breath as i feel the warmth of a hot gush of water in some very tender spots lets say it tickled to say the least :? With that complete came the cyclonic warm wind gush as it completed the process 2 experiences down. Little did lizzie know karma was hanging around she sat on the loo and i pushed the button .
Over all it is a very clean place and the locals a very friendly and helpfull.

No Davo a couple of models and the following items in the old logo ash trays, stickers, hat pins ect i have spoken to these people they do not normally send anything by post but they have exchanged emails with us and agreed to do business with us via email. I know a australian that speaks japanese to relay orders but just in case i have some items.
We spent some time with a gentleman who worked in australia for datsun who has done some home work with isuzu sports on my behalf and they are happy to meet with us at the end of the month. I have asked to purchase some parts they have gt handbrake boots and other things on there website they have asked i pre order. This is a great sign for the future of our cars so fingers crossed. Their only request is i bring someone to translate an expense i am only to happy to fit.
I hope we can help each other :?:
Today i showed the local boy's a sample of the number plate lenses and 1 had his wallettt out how much i pay now ;) This is a item not available here 1 would assume. I felt bad for the rest of the day for him as he was desperate for them poor bugger we have exchanged emails but again language barrier is hard.

good luck to ya mate, and hope the trip is fruitful. wish i was there!

I dont know that is the case isuzu sports do not know i have bits yet to my knowledge. I have made contact instead of just turning up on the front door. The Japanese are very respectfull and expect the same in return. I think the other problem is language barrier in which i am making plans.

I reckon you will have 5 odd years worth of beer yarns up your sleeve by the time you get back home.

Good to hear there may be some good communication with Eagle Motors.
They may be surprised in what we may be able to do for them.

enjoy the rest of the trip

cheers
