Yep.

It's a goer, just barely. Peter had driven it for tens years straight everyday around Melbourne before driving it to "the hill" here in Queensland. It had two sorties to 1770 and one to Adelaide, plus numerous trip to the snow during that time. I think he got he's maximum dollar out of it. She will come to life again when my third son gets his licence in 4 years 10 months and 11 days. Then he can drive himself to his own bellett nationals :D

Not an excjting pic, but this is Dobby's carbie, before I pulled it to bits to see why he wouldn't idle. Lots of gunge in there, and a wrecked gasket. The kit is available to order in for $165, but I bought some gasket paper and a punch set for $25.
Result: He now idles smooth and quietly. :D
A few more jobs to go though.

Kerry, 3 Florians!! Who knew?? And one is an early flat grille. Gotta be saved!
Cheers, Matt.

This is a pic I took this morning on my way home from Dubbo (2 pics actually)
This is a road trip MUST DRIVE road :D
I was doing some follow your curiosity - where will this road take me kind of driving and found this one while taking a "short cut" between Tamworth and Dunedoo (this road cuts between Willow Tree and Merriwa)
It's got some winding rutted gravel roads for several miles as you go up and over the mountains but for the flatter more boring bits it is tarmac, but back country roads type of tarmac.... just the way we like it :P

Photo is where I stopped on top of the range, on the gravel road part :)

I can vouch for that shed :) It sleeps three lost Queenslanders in style

Nice pic Matt. The green, the water and the wasps.

No pic from us today, working at chook farms on a Sunday isn't very belletty.

A donkey's Mate.......Maaaatte!! Sweet Donkey Wasp Sticko.

Very wet down here too Farmer. More than usual with saturated roots, trees are blowing over everywhere in the forest. Nice pic. I like the Farmer collection :D ;)

Pulled some serious G's up the freeway and into the hills today in Little Blue Beastie. Sorry, but no photos of modern traffic going "WTF@%&^..."

End destination was Dave, Sarah and family. All looking amazingly well for what they are going through. Special moments and a great day.

And APICADAY to follow shortly. 8-)

Sad about the trees mate, its happening around here too, and they most often seem to fall on fences. But good news about a great little family, may they go from strength to strength. Thanks for letting us know.
Stay safe in the Blue Beastie,
cheers, Matt.

Forgot to mention great cartooning whoever put that one together, Lewis. Shows how much character these little tikes ooze.

Yep Farmer, have been cutting trees off fence lines and repairing fences at work. Doesn't seem to stop. Lots of firewood in it if you can get it before the Bogans do.

I know it's more than APICADAY, but a good opportunity to share stuff, thanks for starting the thread Gunna. A few from our trip to Thailand, Phuket in May this year. Younger son Jason was excluded from patting the big friendly cat because he was too young and may have been mistaken for a tender piece of food. However he got to do one better by playing with baby tigers. Isuzus are prolific in Phuket. There are many of the old Holden Isuzu bagded utes in circulation, still going strong and all a bottle green paint work. Also a pic of the newest ute. There are no limits to how pimped you can have your people and supplies mover over there. Found in a shanty up in the hills below the "BIG" Buddah, it was MAX cool.

Ah, Japanese big pussy lifting competition.. With a name like "Castrada" ?? :D

The tiger still had his nuts!! Had his nails clipped tho and I think was on some kind off sedative also. There were 4 big cats in the enclosure and we got to pat them all. The trainers get to grow up with them and sing soothing Thai tunes to them all day, feed them and then tuck them into bed......all in the name of the tourist dollar. Speccy nevertheless and the Tige's get to have a good life without poachers running after them with guns, just tourists doting over them all day.

It's a little rough around the edges as can be expected for what has been a working farm ute all it's life.
The colour is the factory Wasp Blue colour but it's not the colour the ute was when Richard bought it new in Dubbo in 1967.
It was Red, with chrome caps. Not know by who or why it was painted Red as the engine bay and underside of bonnet have never been resprayed and have always been the Wasp Blue.
Maybe the dealer painted it Red to get peoples attention as it apparently sat at the dealers for sometime before it was bought
It's missing 1 cap :( (seems to be the only thing so far ) and the 3rd cap is the painted type.
I will start a separate thread for it and put up other pics there when I get a chance to really go over the ute and take more pictures
