Some pics of the Tingha Wasp I picked up a few weekends ago
It looks pretty sad in the photos but a closer look in person reveals a solid little truck that will take very little to get back on the road.
If I can have it sorted before the end of September I might drive this one to the Nationals instead of the Dubbo Wasp :?:

Unfortunately it only has 2 of it's original wheels and this one got a little frosty overnight at Stanthorpe

I'll take some more pics when I get home again (I'm away house sitting for a few weeks atm)

Body is almost rust free, only rust found so far is a little in the passenger side sill. The rest is just surface patina for that ratrod effect I love so much
Passenger guard has a decent crease in it to but that'll buff out ;)
It's missing it's orig grill, guard badges, tail lights and 2 rims but it does have it's orig radiator and bench seat which seems to be in pretty good nic aside from some spits (as you would expect from a car sitting in a wreckers yard for 15yrs)
It has a later model sedan engine in it but still has it's old generator, I reckon it will fire up with some fresh leads, plugs and fuel too. Glen (the wrecker) said it was still running and registered when he got it.
There is a slight bend in the chassis between the cab and tray (from possible over loading) but it only looks slight and is an easy fix. Could possibly be the reason it ended up there I guess.

I've already ordered new ball joints, tie rod ends, adjuster rods, shocks and a few other odds n sods for it so that once my engineer mate gives a diagnosis on the chassis, I'll be into it

Thats fantastic Stickman! Couldn't have gone to a more enthusiastic home I reckon. It certainly has that look only time can achieve, but that tray might need a bit of masonite screwing onto it. ;)
If you can get him going and safe, then why not bring him? Would be nice for him after sitting so long.
Goodonya!
:D Matt.

Cheers Matty,
The tray is no worries though as I have a mountain of recycled hardwood floor boards and fence palings I can use to give it a new deck.
I'm not going to touch the headboard or tray side gates though as they have some amazing character already.... in that busted weathered kind of way
