A few months back we picked up 4 ugly belletts 3 painted in house paint in side and out and as they were bought for parts it was decided that 3 remain with us and plans for all 4. 1 is to be past on to someone else that will also be rebuilt.
Long story short i put the most ugly of them all and the one in the worst condition and decided to do a low budget track car for lizzie to play with. Low budget i painted it in hino white as we buy this in bulk for cleaning up truck trays and there was gloss black also. seats are from a piazza we bought 12 months back for the diff for walter. When i orderd the shocks for my car last year koni adjustables i was lucky not that i thought this at the time but they stuffed the order and sent me 4 for the rear that was orderd from overseas this took 6 weeks to get here another 6 weeks i get 2 sets for the front when i told them i had got 2 sets they said you have only been charged for 1 set wahoo the springs in this beast have been cut down.
The car has been sitting for a long time so a recondition brake job was in order. The engine was missing a fuel pump so a plate was made to cover the hole and a electric pump fitted the point were missing so it got a new set and the fuel tank had a white slime that would not run out. After a fuel tank flush it was time to hit the key and awy she went :D it has a little timing chain rattle but runs fine.
Tomorrow was to be it's 1st day out after weeks of late night's and 5.30 am paint jobs before the wind picked up but the master cyl that was recoed was a failure  queensland raceway are having a ladies day tomorrow so Liz is going to give mine a workout.

The wheels do not fit properly the centers fowl the hub at the front and the centre of the drum rear. It runs 5mm spacers to fix this as the wheel rocks on the hubs. Just in case someone thinks of buying them you may need to machine the centres of the rims for road use.

Wow! Great job.
Looks lower and faster than your machine Greg.

Hells bells GT you have had some late nights.
The last time I saw this car (the morning we left for Coona trip) it was not far off being a bare shell half in primer.

I am most impressed and it looks awesome to boot. Almost looks faster than yours too ;) will be a tad lighter at least :?

If racing was at Lakeside today I'd have come out for a watch and a chat but can't make it to QR today.
Bit far to ride my pushie.

It did not make it :x we could not get a brake pedal that was good enough and a few other small things finished so we bailed on this one.
My blue one coped a floggin the full force of the lead foot, flogged the cr@p out of the first time she came in after around 8 laps she says the red light keeps coming on and staying on :?: what is it :?: she has driven it a couple of time but has never seen the shift light before. It was on lots she tells me .
Good thing it's not my engine it's borrowed              I might have to hurry my engine up now, the owner of the engine was there watching    but after this attitude he might want it back when he reads this ;)

That a girl Liz, dirve it like ya stole it.

Redline is a fine line but after all.... If your not living life on the edge your taking up way too much space!

and I bet you were grinning from ear to ear, weren't you Liz.

brake master cyl is away :P should have it back next week. but i have to shelve this 1 for a week. patches comes home next week and ol yella is moving to the panel shop . [i need the space]
ol yella has been striped sandblasted totaly  nood  and back in primer for the last couple of months and and when i feel like it i cut the few bits of rust he has. I need to find a set of front seats and dummy fit them over the weekend and then find him a suitable power plant. He will be a little rougher than the other gt's i have it had a hard hit about 20 years ago and has been a one day project. In saying this he has a glory box of completed parts and it grows every month.
