I had the oposite problem, had orange lenses front and had to change to clear, and at the rear have clear lenses and orange globes. NEW cars have clear lenses and orange globes, front and rear, I think your inspector needs to go back and re read the rule book. and mine was to comply with 1972 ADR. rules, and had to be inspected by engineer, the unfortunate part with side indicators is that they don't come apart without a lot of sabitarge, so orange globe should fix that problem. Okay Stinky Update May 2013,
I have been having trouble with timing and fuel issues for the last couple of months - so new electronic distributor and re-installed the Standard Nikki Carby (webber was waaaaaay too thirsty). Got all the gear on and was test driving - good power and not pinging and not flooding - turning into my street and BANG - No fekking brakes. I am so sure stinky has it in for me cause I have been keeping it in the shed for the last couple of years.
Brake trouble was the front right shoe delaminating - so get home safely and pull the brakes apart and send the shoes away to be reshod (TBS in QLD) .
Back on the road today and surprise surprise ALL IS GOOD.
Brakes are AWESOME - no pinging and good power.
Sigh - what next I ask..
Cheers, Redback
