Great example there and with the full history that's even better Is it a manual, or auto? What the interior like? Cheers, Ross. |

Hi there down under! I'm happy to see that my first message was noticed and I already got two friendly answers! Here's my answers to your questions: As far as I know all finnish Belletts came with manual 4-speed gearbox, so mine is also manual. I prefer these original "old school" japanese style mirrors because I think that the car of this age doesn't need to look modern. That was the style those days and that's it. Maybe bigger mirrors on the door sides were better, but these are not bad at all when you get used to them. When there's alot of traffic you may have to turn your head a bit more often than usually, but that's all. And I am not sure if the door side mirrors are much better in Bellett, because the small ventilation window makes you to install the mirror too near the driver and then you really have to turn your head all the time. With these original mirrors you just move your eyes, you see! The interior of my Bellett is fully red. The upholstery of the seats is red vinyl (damn hot in the summer!). Juha |

Hi again Mr J When the forum is this small and this new, all posts get noticed! The other organisers of the forum and myself are all just happy people are visiting and have sign up! Sorry as well I didn't mean to be confusing, but when Aussies say "How good is <something>?", it sometimes means "That's great!" So what I mean was, "Your Jap-spec mirrors are great!" I've got Jap-spec mirrors on my Wasp, but my GT has the wrong type of mirror (on the door) while one sedan has an incorrect mirror on the door and the 1965 sedan has no mirrors at all - just the chrome bumps covering the holes! Anyway, sorry about the Aussie-speak - "Your mirrors are cool!" is how I meant it! |
