If I succeed this time, here is my current ride, a 1978 Falcon GXL.

Still love to have a bellett/Wasp "as well".

Yeah mate, not too shabby! Most will know I'm not a Ford fan, (yeah, I know, half the country is) but that vintage is growing in appeal. My wife, Tracy, learned to drive in one that model. I take it by the number plate it's got the hero motor? Certainly looks in top condition.

Now, there's bound to be someone on here that can set you up with a Bellett - It's only a matter of time! ;)
Watch this space :!:
Cheers, Matt.

The GXL is a bit of a rarity in that it is a GXL, four wheel disc brakes, T-Bar Auto, LSD, did have air conditioning, 120 litre fuel tank, full instrumentation - SIX CYLINDER!

Apparently the original owner was a travelling salesman and wanted the luxuries without the fuel expense.

The number plates came my way through a $12.00 exchange your faded number plates deal, the 351-CDJ is what happened to get issued, love that number under the bonnet, but not so, I have fitted extractors and a 350 Holley and it goes OK.

It's no show car, gets driven daily and has the usual Ford rust popping out in places, the photo is about 3-4 years old and was taken for the local newspaper as an enthusiast coverage.

Still in pretty good nick though.

Yeah. it appears a Ford of that age in that condition is VERY rare as they ALL rust out...
but the holden of similar area were only marginally better.
but still a Holden (and the debate goes on...........)

Yeah! Buick Straight Eights were my first cars, I had four of them all up, just one that was a regular and had been modified, I keep searching to see if it still exists.

Could have had one recently except for being a bit low on the folding stuff, it's amazing just what is here in Toowoomba, just no Belletts anymore, and I would like to change that.

No, wasn't me (what's gumtree?), I have only mentioned how nice it would be to have one on these forums.
