Yeah, fabulous weekend B................Nah, look again mate! I'ts a nuther bruther, My beard's still got colour! ....a bit. Same baldy head, same skinny bum, but Dennis can RIDE, like scareyness. My speed is like aggie bike going 'round the cattle! Dennis has a Bellett now, that's 3 Bellett broths. Gotta work on the other 2 now! And teach him how to drive a 'puter so he can post some pics! Cheers mate, Matt. |

Now that's thrown me, mate. Looks like you've got a few bro'ths. I was starting to think " wow, this guy is versatile...." But ya probably grew up on a bike out the farm I bet. Dennis sounds like a "hardcore" two wheeler. Cheers, B. |

i'll help ya out there B. bembokabellettbloke we all know, he was there, on a suzuki gsx1400 farmer is 1 of the brothers, who we all know as well, unfortunately wasn't there. dennis is another bro. he won the best bellett sedan trophy in adelaide. he was there on a new honda cbr1000rr. greg is another bro (where do the bro's stop!!), and was there too, on another gsx1400. and that's leaves a 5th one, but i haven't had the pleasure as yet! the other guys in the pics are son's, nephew's, mate's, neighbour's, etc. and honestly, descirbing dennis as hardcore doesn't even begin to do justice. i'm sure he won't mind me saying, but he has a health prob that most of us would just accept and stay in bed, let alone get on a bike of any sort, but he chooses to ride a 1000cc race replica from northern NSW to southern vic, via the blue mountains, for the races, then rides from south vic to adelaide for a concert, then has to ride home again. and all this around the time in your life when most people slow down and think more about retirement... mate, that's even beyond dedication.... that's an INSPIRATION to everyone, especially me!! more power to ya dennis!! |

here's all the boys for the superbike weekend. L-R: john, dan, graham (at the back), greg, rob, gary, chris and dennis. and obviously i'm holding the camera. Attachment: DSCF0175a.jpg [ 164.38 KiB | Viewed 21495 times ] was a TOP weekend lads, and same bat-time, same bat-channel next year! my fav bike in the crowd... a rickman cb750-4 honda. dennis tells me that 'rickman' built the race hondas in the US in the 70's, and if a normal cb750 is now about $8k, then one of these would be 4 TIMES that!! was beautifully restored too. Attachment: DSCF0157a.jpg [ 155.07 KiB | Viewed 21495 times ] a new ducati gt1000 modified to look like an old race bike. waaaaaaaaaay cool! Attachment: DSCF0230a.jpg [ 169.69 KiB | Viewed 21497 times ] a gorgeous norton 850 commando............. *brett drools, but is carefull not to on the paint*. Attachment: DSCF0181a.jpg [ 160.84 KiB | Viewed 21498 times ] a honda cbx 1000 racer. yes, that's a 1000cc in line 6 cylinder engine in this monster. must be like riding a block of flats being that wide! but it sounded simply amazing at 160-something MPH as it went past. Attachment: DSCF0224a.jpg [ 155.84 KiB | Viewed 21497 times ] suzuki rgv250 pepsi replica. a fast 2 stroker from the late 80's-early 90's that was really a race bike with number plates. i remember when a learner rider couldn't ride a bike of more than 250cc, and these things came out. that set about changing the laws to be a power-to-weight learner system, as the rgv's were faster than bikes of twice the capacity! pretty rare bike these days tho, as most were riden like race bikes and ruined........ Attachment: DSCF0231a.jpg [ 133.21 KiB | Viewed 21487 times ] and something from outside the square... a postie bike (honda ct110)... with a race exhaust... and nitrous!! in truth, the nitrous didn't look like it was real, but it had the right effect and got plenty of laughs! Attachment: DSCF0225a.jpg [ 169.21 KiB | Viewed 21496 times ] enjoy! |

here's a story from the weekend. saw this honda enduro with a crowd around it, so went to have a look. met the guy who owns and rides it. turns out he's from switzerland. bought this honda, clocked up 4,500k around home, and then decided he'd like to see the WORLD, so off he goes... all round europe, across the middle east, alot of asia, japan, ships it to northern north america, criss crosses the states, goes down thru central america, does a full lap of south america, ships to new zealand, up and down the whole of nz a few times, over to australia, and has done nearly a full of of oz as well. he set off from home (switzerland) just over 4 YEARS ago! had been in australia for about 6 months, was now going to tassie to see the sights, then is off to south africa, and wants to head north to see as much of that continent as he can. he said he'd like to be home again in another 18 months, making 5 and a half years on the road! all those stickers are from the coutries and places he's been to already, but i don't know how he'll put any from the countries he's yet to see, as there's very little spaces left! and yes, the speedo does say 219,000 odd k's, making the trip 214,000 so far, with who knows how many more to go. i overheard a guy say "he's living the dream". couldn't agree more! enjoy! Wow, PR91, thanks for putting all into perspective. Enlightening and inspirational, and those "words" don't even come close. B. btw,...I saw several guys almost do themselves in on those nasty suzi 250 two strokes around the streets of Adelaide in the 80's. I also remember seeing the honda straight 6 around the place as well. Looked cumbersome and ungamely but were real smooth. |

Thanks for bringing everyone up to square with the broths, mate. I'm sure you're better with the typing block thingy (and the words) than me! The other brother is Chris, who doesn't have a Bellett OR a bike!!!!!!!, but has had both. It's probably only a matter of time! Cheers, Matt. |
