Nice day out, weather perfect so quite a few cars on display. We got there about 8:30 and the car park was near full so had to park on the edge. Got a number of people looking with interest. Barries 1 owner GT, Steve & Pegggies sedan, my Sport.

My favourite car the EH... tastefully modified, 4 wheel disc, XU1 spec engine, air con etc. [One elderly owner, new owner did the mods.]

plenty of early and late Mustangs. A couple of late Ferraris, a late Fiat Abarth, based on the MX-5. And many other makes..... a few older cars from the 20's etc. A very neat Morris Minor fitted with an EFI DOHC Toyoata 4GE motor which is in the picture above of the Hillman.

Looks like you had a great day out, good on you all for getting out there. People need to see our little cars. I went to Canberra yesterday for a gathering, so made use of one of my 60 permit days and drove Doris. At a servo while filling up a fellow came up to me and told me about his family Bellett, that they got when he was 8. Same age as me when Gary and Dennis got theirs! He hadn't seen one for years, but said the shape was immediately familiar to him as he drove in. As he slid a finger along the back left guard chrome strip, he recounted that it had been a reliable and much loved car. Nice to give people a little trip down memory lane. Cheers, Matt. |

It's always amazing, just about every place we go, we get the same thing. People who used to have a Bellett, knew of them etc etc. |

Hi Stickman Those Hillmans were a wonderful thing - could stay with an Auto XW GT till 50 mph. When I was at Uni in the 70's we had a guy in a 660 that we could never pass in our Belletts and Zephers I too have a soft spot for the Hillman variety - had a Series 2 Sunbeam Rapier as my first car, loved that thing. Glenn, Yep I lie these EVENTS also, no competition just a casual nice drive with a bunch of nice people and beautiful cars, not many of those types of Events that I know of held in NSW. A really nice group of cars. I guess the Hillman had been restored at some time? It is in really nice condition. DAVE. |

The first time in a Bellett convoy with the Prince Skyline club. A great day out. I am not aware of any other similar event apart from the one i attended on my own a few weeks back. Just a collection of any cars from old to new, and a time to look around. This one is held Monthly. I went for a ride in one of these years ago...... they go round corners like on rails.

There's plenty of those style events about. 2 I know of every Saturday night on the eastern side of Melbourne as well as morning coffee meets most weekends over spring / summer / autumn as well. I've tried getting people interested and doing runs to them in the past with zero success. |

Obviously nothing like that in Mudgee, I haven't heard of this type of event in Sydney either, they could still exist however. It is nice just to get out amongst these people and have a nice day/night/morning!! |

Hi Brett, perhaps these events you speak of are on Social media etc. I don't have these, so not aware of them. Maybe putting up details of any such events you mention, might be useful, in this medium.. I know its tuff to get people to attend but where possible i am up for getting the Sport out more. Heck, its only been out 3-4 times this year. |

There is a group that meets once a month here on the Central Coast (NSW) and does a Cruze to a lunch destination. |
