Yes, It was another hot day at Banyo with a great variety of vehicles turning up, but not as many as last year. The biggest surprise was Gary, Matt and Zac Smith turning up in a beaut Toyota Crown saloon ( which Gold Coast brother Greg lent him for the day) which Gary reports is so smooth and quiet inside to drive and the A/C is excellent.

What a great catch up with great friends. Yeah, got there early enough to grab the shade, which lasted well. Most people filtered out early as it was pretty hot, but we were among the last to leave. Got a few pics of some beautiful cars. All Japaneese! So good, never been to an all J day before. Attachment:

Unfortunately I had to work over the weekend pulling out and replacing house stumps on one of the landlords neighboring properties. But when I crawled out from the dust under the house just before 9am I noticed I had a missed call from Gerry, a quick return call had Gerry putting me onto a mystery visitor........ it was Gary Smith He told that he and Matty were up for Gregs B'day and decided to check out the All Jap day while in the area and Davo had come along for the drive also. That was it!! I downed tools, put on a clean singlet, jumped into Donkey and made a quick fang down the highway to catch up (quickish fang that is, 1.5hr) It was hot, but the spot the guys had was shady so that gave some relief and after a half hour chat and laugh I was back in Donkey and fangin' back to work again. Although the heat was not very kind to my rear tyres on the way back home. I think I might have had my pressure a little too high in the semi slicks and the drivers side one had a sidewall failure.......... Not to worry, I was so good to catch up with the family Attachment:

Not a good look Sticky, but what a great catch up,I think probably the first time Bellett's were out numbered by the Galant's 4 to 1,the heat and change of day put a few off.I took the same photo of that Mazda Matt, had not seen before,we could do it all again in June,if you need somewhere to stay give us a call, the NBN is a goer now,Gerry

Yeah it was a bit of a bummer and was lucky to make it with out it blowing completely. Especially considering my spare was flat too.
Was well worth it just to have caught up with the Smith boys and Davo though.
