The number 65 gemini that was driven by Phil Brock at Bathurst, i bought from a wrecking yard very very cheap and then i sold it to a guy who as i now is rebuilding it as a group C gemini racer. I made alot of money on this car because it was the original race car and probably could have made a few more thousand dollars on it but...............what i sold the car for......lets say i could have painted 2 cars. Here i photo of the number 65 gemini when it was at my warehouse, when i had it. cheers Rick.

amazing thing is that all 4 of these cars still survive, either as cars currently being raced or re-built to race again in historic Group C. only the GENUINE cars that raced in the days of Group C (1973-1984) can race in these historic events (ie: replicas/mock ups are not allowed). Finnigan's car is in Sydney. Faneco's car is in Melbourne, and is owned by a forum member on here. Seldon's car is in Sydney, was involved in the crash that stopped the race early on lap 121, and is owned by the former owner of the Finnigan car. And Brock's car is in Melbourne. There are a few other genuine Group C Gemini's still around in addition to these ones, like Jim Faneco's sedan, and Bernie McClue's and Ken Price's coupes, with the later being owned by a very good mate of mine in country NSW. I been reliably informed there's another car that only raced in Victoria, and is stashed away in Melbourne, but haven't actually seen it with my own eyes.... yet. |

Hello again as you can see the red gemini coupe pictured above the finnigan gemini with a friends gemini coupe which was a white coloured gemini, it was the car that quailified at bathurst in 1981 but blew and engine and didnt start, these two group c TE gemini coupes when to bathurst on the easter weekend and had a good run, bring the gemini coupe back to bathurst. good site guys.......so much better than the all these gemini sites you come across! Im in the process off building a website for road and race gemini's. cheers Rick Ludgate. |

Found this article from a circa early 90's mag - claims to be a bathurst gem... I can scan it better for detail if required... Apparently raced from 79-82. 2nd place group C 0-1600 & 22nd outright in 79. Bernie McClure and John White. Originally was coloured white. According to article... |

the now-scoble-owned car was for sale a few years back. $22k was the ask, if i remember correct. the article u show there is from "hottest geminis" from the early 90's (also has the ZZ/R article and the Bellett article shown elsewhere on bellett.net), and that article doesn't show the original paint scheme of the car. the words in that article are a re-print of an earlier issue of FF&R, but the early issue has a B&W pic of the car at the 'Dipper' in 1979 (i think). i'll see if i can dig it out this weekend. |
