Nothing to report Davo mine are in the shed collecting dust. I have a engine being machined up for patches but that's been ongoing for 12 months due to lack of time and enthusiasm.

Hi Davo
Both Bella and Asroc finished
Hunting for a new project maybe?
Anyone looking to sell a running, registerable GT?
Cheers
J

my bellett is languishing in the shed, not sure what way I am headed with it but may possibly consider selling it later in the year, just not sure yet (waiting to see what may happen in the future!).
The Florian is going no where it will stay with me for a long time, She needs some help in the carby/ignition side of things but I will sort it out in the near future!
My chevy luv is waiting for some money to appear so I can do some more work to it, but is more of a longer term project for now.
For now I live my Isuzu adventures through what everyone else posts up!

Hey guys,
Still working on my green twin cam a bit here and there. Putting in new welsh plugs and fuel pump this week. Should be all ready to fire it up again this weekend. May have to further modify the offset on the adapter plate for my TP magna callipers in the next week or two. Still have a long list but am enjoying the journey more now that I'm seeing the end of the rainbow. :D

Could have, would have and very seriously considered it but I bought the Ebay Bunderberg car for it's rebuilt engine for half the price instead.
Only a std engine but better than the "water injected 3 cylinder rattler" he's running at the moment :?
Just have to find the time to swap them over....

Flori was handed back to his original owner today :( no 8-) we had to go to the gold coast today so we drove flori down and left him with his original owners who gave the car to me 22 months back, Flori has been registered for the last 12 months but has not seen daylight since November. Today Warwick drove flori for the first time since the mid 80's with his wife I told them when I was given the car that they could have it when ever they wanted it. Well I was chuffed to see these lovely couple drive off in the car they dated in back when flori was new. Flori will stay in there possession until Sunday and they will join us on a club run on the gold coast.
Rumour has it Napoleon could be out on the street this weekend as well his last time out would have been a trip we did to confirm Toowoomba was the place for the nats that would be close to 12 months ago. I cant say who will be driving Napoleon as it may upset Donkey ;)

Greg, you are a good bloke.
That is a real nice thing to do. Perhaps they might like to come to the nats?
I reckon you might be able to bringvthe whole fleet, just need to tee up a few more mates!

Cheers, Matt.

Working on the Red Baron at the moment. Found out why the floor was parcially plated for the convertible top. LH and RH
sides where the heel of the mudguard wraps around the sill at the front. RUST WORMS. It's going to slow me down.
Have to contact my sheet metal mate to make up a new side member from the back of the spring tower to 220mm past the gearbox mounting bracket. It's shaped like a hockey stick and will be a challenge. Am trying to get it to Toowoomba.
We'll see.

Hey Davo. I sent you a package TNT. Should see it in the next few days. Have large towel at the ready. Don't want you
to salivate too much over them. Causes rust.

Dave.

After 4 months off the road, the GT is back with everything under the bonnet rebuilt (see tech forum), tower rust removed and engine bay resprayed. Carby issues and very hard (new) engine mounts, still to be sorted. Plan was to send it back to body shop for respray over Winter but (a) spent all my money on rebuild, (b) body shop weren't all that good and it's put me off...I've spent overs anyway. I've got other, non-running projects to put my money into...oh, and tax bills. :x

After years of contract work I've finally started a full time job again this year, so anything is possible.

Working on repro GT fog lamps and horn buttons...watch this space!

Good to see a few people back out of the woodwork and talking.

Cheers,
Duane

Yeah, plenty been going on round here.

Usual family stuff, add sickness, close family member passing away, work and business, new house fun, then cars.
A lot has happened with a certain white sedan, including info, contacts, meetings, displays. Other cars have been doing the usual rounds. Couple never miss a beat, couple need a few silly niggles sorted.

I just don't bother posting about any of it.....

Both Lily (yes I have named my white GT) and Rufus will have an outing this weekend...Steve and Peggy from Vic are up here to join us on the drive.
On the maintenance side, I checked my front brakes on Rufus a few weeks ago to find the pads wearing unevenly....outer pad 3/4 gone :x but inner one 3/4 left and brakes do stick a bit. The rotors are machined down to minimum thickness. I hear them release with a low thump. Can't push the piston back with clamp...is there any trick....had the calipers resleeved about 3 years ago...thought they would last forever?
